The system has indeed changed to accommodate him. When is the last time we played our usual 4-3-3 with wingers and Messi as a false 9 with a tight knit midfield designed to support them? It's not like we're shoving him on the right wing or just playing Suarez as our sole striker/false 9. The tactics, if you can call them that, that we use now are dramatically different than what they have been in prior seasons and it's actually quite a bit worse. It's not like we're not playing him as a striker and putting him in positions to score, either. His first touch is bizarre and his instincts in front of goal have vanished from the days when he would fire rockets past the keeper using nothing but his own genius. He's not playing any better than Pedro right now, which honestly is about as bad as you can possibly be when it comes to Barca forwards.

That's what I'm thinking too.
Robben,messi, ronaldo were much better than him last season,stop with that nonesense. He scored against weak teams and not so good defense. In la liga u have better defense and voila u have bought a failure
Proof: Loook at alexis he looks likes messi in the Premier League, he looks better than suarez last season. And even Cesc
La Liga is another level to Premier League, u dont have so much space here, and the technically the players are twice as good

I agree with this theory. And that is especially true when Barca is in question...every damn game is break the bus strategy. It's totally different environment for Luis and it's not looking good.

Suarez is looking rubbish. Worse touches and shots than Alexis' during his second season, and it's just sad.
TBH he had many sloppy touches in EPL as well. But there is more space in England, so it didn't affect his game that much. You pay for your mistakes in La Liga.

i would say that he suffers from our shitty tactics of million useless passes and incredibly slow tempo
just look at him at liverpool,he was a beast there because of the way liverpool played,they had coutinho,sturridge and sterling who were flying all around and suarez always had tons of space because of that
now in barca where the gameplay is so static he is always surrounded by 4-5 defenders and there is no way that he can contribute like we are expecting for him to contribute

There were times in that first half when we attacked at pace with numbers going forward . Unfortunately it never resulted in a goal , then we changed it second half and went back to the 300 passes to move 10 yards . This style of play is predictable and everyone now knows how to play against it.
Suarez play was more suited to the first half style .

LOL what!? He's through on goal, 1v1 and fucks it up like a true master. Lucho, other players surrounding him & tactics are not at fault here!!!
He misses open goals from 10 meters!! I mean what the fuck, this is too much... A striker of his reputation should not even think twice in that kind of situations... He doesn't have that much space as at Liverpool but that isn't an excuse of missing open goals!!

I have extremely hated the decision to sign him. Especially after his antics.
Suarez is quite disappointing so far. He had some really nice games and important plays but what really annoys me is his finishing. It cost us points vs Celta e.g (Messi also missed clear cut chances there though) and a player like him should bury the easy ones.
I hope he proves me wrong and picks up his form. We desperately need it.
