We could have had this lineup (back four not included)

--------Suarez
Neymar Messi Alexis
--- Busquets Kroos

Obviously depending on different scenarios and who was sold/bought have iniesta in place of alexis, Pedro instead of alexis, cesc instead of kroos etc.

Alexis is at is best when more or less given a free role. I dont think he or the club enjoyed him all that much playing RW these past couple of seasons.

Free role or on left is where Sanchez is at his best and seeming wants to play.

Suárez has been a failure so far. Let's just all admit it. The most expensive transfer in the club's history. I am hugely disappointed by his overall play, lack of goals etc. I don't like his attitude either.

This will prove to another monumental failure by the most moronic board in history.

Cabrónes.

His overall play and link up is good. He makes the right decisions on the edge of the box. Also what about his attitude do you not like?

That failure is not down to Suarez, he would be the best CF in the world at any other top club.

How so? By misplacing all his passes, by moving into empty areas and not getting the ball? By missing 100% chances all the time? By not scoring the required amount of goals that you can expect from such an expensive transfer?

Did you see what he did against David Luiz against PSG? If the referee had seen such a move he would have been sent off and faced another ban. He is constantly complaining as well.

I don't like him one bit. He does not fit FC Barcelona either. He would be much, much better if he was playing for RM.

Anyway our midfield and board is as much to blame for this. Suárez is at least trying and I can respect that.

Sorry but I was expecting WAY more from his side. Most are of a similar opinion.

He is CF and getting half the number of chances as Messi and less than Neymar. Should he have scored more? Yes, but he is not being put in a position to be a big goalscorer at Barca.

By the way he also has the second most assists in the team and some important ones at that. So his all round play has not been as bad as you make out.

Oh right you don't like it when he lashes out like that. If it means anything he is massively toned down from before in that area. By attitude I meant always trying, running, fighting to win which you can't deny him. At least he doesn't just stand around like some strikers.

I thought his link up was good, he is helping messi shine with his layoffs etc. the only thing you can slam him for is his finishing, which will come in time. This is not a Torres situation where he lost confidence and physical abilities.

Suárez was always like this. What he did against PSG is not something that anyone can defend considering his recent history. To me he is a ticking time bomb that one day will explode again.

OK, obviously he has not been THIS bad but I sure as hell can expect more from a player of his quality and a player of a transfer fee this big. Or what?

I am not saying that he is to blame for it all but he has missed far too many chances, his passing is below par and often he makes the wrong runs. Either that or the midfield is not picking up his runs.

Nobody in their sane mind can be satisfied with him considering the expectations, his price tag and most importantly his number of goals which is his main job.

If so there is nothing to discuss anymore.

I dont think anyone would argue that Suarez should have scored a few more goals but his all round play has not been bad. But as I said he is getting half the chances Messi is and less than Neymar and he will never get a sniff of a set piece - despite fact he may be the best free kick taker.

He works hard off he ball and is creating more chances for his team mates than anyone, that includes Messi. He has 6 assits to Messi's 9 in around half the minutes played.

Only Messi and Suarez are creating.

Not by missing over and over again on 1 vs 1 with the keeper. Suarez only had 1 year of arguably being the best CF in the world. You need more than 1 season to make that statement valid. I can very well say Suarez WAS the best CF in the world at Liverpool.

He practically missed a 3 yard pass that would've given Neymar or Messi a sitter. That's pretty poor decision making

That ridiculous amount could have been used to address midfield + right back issue..

I agree.

Suarez is a player we never needed.
If we need a striker is for a plan B (vs park bus team), a tower, a good header, e.g. Madzukic or Llorente, so as we cannt go through the middle (our tactics), it make sense to cross.

The problem
is our Management in the recent years, they have moved on the market randomly, without a project, wihtout a medium/long term vision. Big names do not mean automatically great archievements.

IF his decsision making was that poor he would not be creating more chances for his team mates than any other player and his assist stats are better than anyone elses.

Missing over and over again? Thats not been the case and I could point to you games that EVERY player misses chances.

I agree he should be scoring more but Suarez is about more than goals anyway.
