This guy was the best striker in the world last year.

He's world class quality no doubt (probably top 3), but "Alexis out, Suarez in" was fixing something that wasn't broken. That ridiculous amount could have been used to address midfield + right back issue.

I guess his transfer makes sense if they were planning for Messi to leave in near future.

Bigger issue to fix midfield would have been to keep Cesc and sign Kroos. Dont buy Rakitic and let Xavi leave. Dare I say it even let Iniesta leave.

All that could have been done as well as the Suarez transfer.

Suarez is a better player than Sanchez and up there as probably the best CF in the world. The fact he is finding it difficult is the teams fault and not his.

Suarez is NOT a bad signing. He is exactly what we needed up front. His link up is already fantastic but the chances aren't falling for him, he did miss a couple he should have put away but that can happen.

Suarez shouldn't have been bought. Cesc and Alexis should've been kept and buying Kroos should've added the quality in the midfield. Iniesta also kept. Promote Bartra more. A top quality RB should've also been bought.

Obviously depending on different scenarios and who was sold/bought have iniesta in place of alexis, Pedro instead of alexis, cesc instead of kroos etc.

Suarez shouldn't have been bought.

Messi in false nine stopped working 2/3 years ago. To play Messi anywhere else they needed a number nine ideally one that has movement and workrate to compliment Messi.

Suarez fits the bill and id more beneficial to Messi and the team than Sanchez. IF he is given a chance to perform.
