Only his finishing has to improve, other than that his contribution is excellent. Offers great lateral movement to stretch the opposition defence and provides plenty of assists. He missed 3 months of football and still has the 3rd most assists in the League, only after Messi and Ronaldo. Considering his primary job isn't to score goals, he's doing fine for his first season, except his underwhelming finishing ofc.

This is a good summary.

All the haters can you not just give the man time to fully adjust to the leaugue and more importantly the team dont forget it took neymar the whole of last season to adjus fully. Its a big leap coming into a barca team and getting used to the way we play

What a pathetic forum, excuse me but it's true. The same thing happened with Alexis and after that... the same with Neymar, who was called Robinho v2.0. Jesus...

Alexis confirmed the expectations only in his 3rd season here. Therefore much of what was said about him in his first two season here on the forum was in fact true. Unfortunately it costed us quite a lot with his misses. See Chelshit tie.
Neymar wasn't as bashed as him during his first season and now in his 2nd he already started to prove himself.
I reckon it is just a matter of time till Suarez will stop missing chances like crazy but unfortunately I see that happening late this season if not the next. The stake is high and might as well be huge by making the difference between us win or lose us trophies.

Suárez scored/assisted vs Madrid, Atléti (3), PSG. Have 16 goals + assists in 18 games, after 4 months without football (2 without training). Best "flop" ever!

Not to mention the space he creates for Messi and Neymar.

Suarez will be great in big games in the CL. You heard it here.

Any player primary job is to score once he has a chance to do ,he is a striker and he gets many chances and he misses most of them .Suarez is good but he can be way better if he just get back his finishing ability

There is simple solution to his problem, he shouldn't shoot at all, just pass, one on one with GK, doesn't matter, pass to Messi or Neymar, open goal, doesn't matter, pass to Messi...

Fitting into the team has nothing to do with his horrible finishing. Also its the business end of the season now, we really don't have time for him to continue finishing like this.

Suarez = bust

Alexis:22 when he joined Barca
Neymar: 21 when he joined Barca
Suarez:27 when he joined Barca
the other 2 simply joined the team when they were young and had the potential to grow .which happened specially with Neymar .Suarez was supposed to be a finished product that is ready to play right away .that is the main reason of disappointment
again ,beyond his stats he is playing well but his finishing has been really bad .an area that he was supposed to be an instant improvement over Alexis .
I think people has the right to expect more from him tbh

His finishing is simply jinxed for now. I don't think it has anything to do with skill or form. Shit like that has happened before to other players. And with all that he still manages to be key player for a team like Barca. If that makes him a scrub, like some of you guys react here, you need a reality check and a lesson in humility.

Exactly , we bought a 28 years old(now) because we didnt had time to wait improvements, we bought as a ready superb striker.
I dont cares if he misses against weak teams, but and if he misses in the second leg in UCL ? And if messi and neymar doesnt play well, what would suarez do? And another example , if we playing against a parked bus like chelsea, and only got 1 chance to make a goal, would you trust it to Suarez?

The only reason the entire forum isnt blaming on him is because we are winning, but imagine if he misses a sitter in the UCL that will cost the classification? We cant afford that

He should start scoring some goals though. Otherwise I won't see Barca too well against top clubs in CL.

Huh, like Luis has never scored against Chelsea. He had by every team he played periods that he was out of form, by Ajax and Liverpool as well. I still can remember his frustration when balls didn't went in. Once he starts, he is a scoring machine, against any team.
Only success supporters have no patience for this top striker. He will provide, no doubt about that.

He does most of the things right aside from the most important which is scoring goals. I have been saying that it's a question of time before he starts doing just that and I still believe this to be the case but I am starting to get slightly worried that it might take longer than I expected. As I wrote earlier as well then as long as the team is winning then his lack of composure in front of goal should not be made into a huge problem. It's better for him to find his form when the team needs it.

I expect him to score against City away.
