Guardiola had a big problem with Etoo playing selfishly to try and get the pichichi I am sure can remember.

Villa played well for Barca but more or less played as his own man, never really changing his individual game to help Messi. You could see the number of times Messi got frustrated by him.

Both great players no doubt for Barca but did not give as much to Messi as Suarez does.

Can't really compare Villa and Suarez. The systems are totally different. Villa forced to the left wing and Messi doing his walking fencepost false #9. Suarez mobile across the center front and Messi on the wing and more mobile.

What a player he is. Best striker in the world by far.

It's great to see him finally enjoying himself. His first months were overshadowed by confidence problems and harsh criticism but he still delivered but since the start of the new year he scores goal after goal and gives assist after assist (10 goals and 7/8 assists in 2015!) and he seems to finally adapt to our team. The bicycle kick was the beginning of something huge and it's wonderful to see that people now realize what a player we signed.

He has really improved a lot last month, and is near his Liverpool level, lets hope he peaks even more in the enxt few months.
It really helps a lot to not be so dependend on Messi all the time, Neymar and suarez stepping up when 1/2 of the others don't helps us get wins.

Eto never wanted to be the main man .on the Pitch Eto was always a player willing to make sacrifices for the team ,done it with Rijkaard ,Pep & Mourinho .played to the right/left or even in a more defensive role if he is asked to .ultimate team player on the pitch .will likable by his teammates off the pitch too but not quite as much by his coaches though not as trouble maker as some want to believe
Villa also played his role perfectly ,people forget how gr8 and how the flowy and smooth our offense was with him b4 his injury
We missed a true 9 who can freely move with the flow of the game since Villa got injured ,non of Neymar/Cesc/Tello/Pedro/Cuenca/Alexis was that guy

Etoo was brilliant no doubt, but I am sure Pep let him go as he was too much of an individual on pitch and chased Pichichi.

Nothing wrong with that but it can be dangerous if you are not the best player in the attack.

2005 and 2006 he was the best striker in the world alongside Henry hands down; then he was still the best in 2009 no doubt and 2011 when he was at Inter Milan and he netted 40 goals.
He would have been the best in the world even in 2007 and 2008 if it wasn't for his injuries, and even in 2010 if he had not played nearly a full season as a right back in order to accomodate Inter Milan winning the Treble.

Anyway, this is Suarez thread, the best striker in the world right now, so I dont' want to go off-topic.
