9 - Robert Lewandowski

The biggest problem with Lewa is that he is never where he should be. From pure no.9 you expect much smarter movement in the box than he is showing right now. Furthermore, I hate the fact that he is never substituted, even when he is underperforming like yesterday.

He drops deep coz nobody in the team can cross and they weren't playing him long balls when he was making runs constantly in the first half. He's insanely frustrated with the team and service.

Teams like Brighton give their strikers 10 times better service than this.

That performance was worse than I've ever seen Luke de Jong, Ferran or even Braithwaite play for us.

It wasn't just the touch, or constant losing of the ball. It's the lack of movement and getting in to goalscoring positions. His bread and butter.

It's almost as if he gave up trying. Abde has the ball on the touchline in the last 10 minutes and you are not even in the penalty area???

In the second half he just gave up getting into those positions. He was fuming at them ignoring his runs in the first half. You can tell he's very disappointed with the service he's getting.

So, he's a past it that needs the team to lay it all out for him on a silver platter. He has been terrible and lazy for months already.

Like Cristiano at United, when they got fed up with him. It is going down that route.

This transfer is like an apple with just one good bite left and the rest rotten. Seems like we took that last good bite already... and the rest belongs in the trash bin.

Not much unlike Cristiano at United, when they got fed up with him.
Well he has declined and you do want him to score goals, don't you?

What's the point dropping deep in these La Liga games?

Where's the service or chances created for him to try and score?

The team is not good enough to do that. You don't get the luxury to be a poacher at 35 except maybe in Arabia. The teams that could do that for you in Europe's top level have younger better forwards. Or should have at least.

City could set him up all day but why would they carry his ass when they have Haaland who does so much more?

Not true. Even the best team in the world play with the most limited(but outstanding) poacher.....

That's completely false. Even at the most minimum you have to make runs in the box, he's not even doing that.

We don't have a place in this team for lazy players who expect the ball to magically land on them perfectly, while he does fuck all to help out his teammates.

If he can't cut it phsically or in terms of motivation, then fuck off to Arabia and let us get our money back.

City would go nowhere near him.

Haaland allows them to have threat in behind and means teams will defend deeper and allow Silva/KDB/Grealish nearer opposition area.

If City had Lewa they would have to totally change way play for the worse and have more pace out wide.

Haaland is a 'poacher' but also a massive percieved threat for teams even when rarely touching it he influences the game as to what he CAN do.

Lewa has none of that.

This was all argued a year ago when so many made out he was a top signing and worth it.

He limits team tactically and even worse when no pace whatsoever in front line.

CF issues is one most top clubs are dealing with at moment bar City really but at least they adapt to it better it seems.

Auba of two seasons back gave Barca more options than Lewa since he arrived.
