When he played in the cup as LB he was awesome too and he even scored. It seems he is more suited to play on the left and Pep should realize that. Well done Adriano!

Adriano is clearly more comfortable at LB, and Max is weak defensively and has really greasy hair. love the guy, but if Zenit (or whoever it was) offers 12m I'd take it in a heartbeat - especially with the young defenders we have coming through.

Yea Maxwell is extremely one dimensional, meanwhile Adriano offers more options. However, Adriano is a bit more volatile- more proned to doing stupid shit, but I think with more time he'll gain confidence and he'll be a better choice than maxwell overall.

Of course he is better at LB position and obviously his below par performances some times when played a RB were because he's not yet fully gelled with his new team mates and also because it's not his natural position

I have to say I was questioning Peps decision to start him, especially after the first half where I thought offensively his runs were a step too fast or too slow. second half was something else, and that assist.. don't even get me started.

i knew he would improve, i think this game is his break-through game... he is going to be playing better from now on methinks and yeah, he was better tonight than maxwell ever was this season. his low crosses, fast pace, and trickery are very very useful
