Says Rabiot's mother was in Catalonia these past few days. She will meet with Barcelona's executives to come to an agreement during the week. Rabiot is still unsure of his future and unsure if he will participate in PSG's winter training camp.

Very charming lady looking at this photo.

Rabiot to Barca, FDJ to PSG.

The rumoured wages are just horrible. Barcelona is already the club that pays the most wages and this doesn't help.

Probably around 10m which is not that much in the grand scheme of things but adding his high salary and bonus, the sum keeps pilling up. Over 5 years we'll spunk 120m on him meanwhile N'dombele or De jong would be around 30m more over the same period. Obviously the difference would be crippling for us. Can't compete with oil-state funded teams.

Barca spends much more money than PSG on wages. They've also spent similarly on the market over the last 5 seasons. So you can compete, you just go about your business differently.

how did you get 120m? If the rumored wages and signing bonus is true then wouldn't it be 60m over 5 years?

wages (10m/yr) + signing bonus (10m) = 60m

unless I missed something?

Well said.

We screwed up and we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

Barca management wins the short-sightedness award every year.

I was being sarcastic. So you're not really disagreeing with me. We can and have spent just as much, that's clear. There's a legion of fans that can't see the forest for the trees.

I used gross figures.

Rabiot: 20m/year x 5 years = 100m + 10m bonus = 110m. If we get him in January add whatever sum we agree to pay to PSG.

De Jong: 75m transfer sum + 16m/year(~8m/net) = 155m

Just saying, if Rabiot pulls his antics here like he did with French NT and P$G when he arrives, I'm gonna flip.
