Aleix Vidal

His link-up play is good, but he's a fucking idiot positionally and defensively in general. So the few things he does well is ruined by all the other things he just fucks up.

Disappointing. Thought he'd learn by now, but seem incapable of it.

I have said it before. I was not comfortable seeing him as a RB. He should never play again. I respect his hard working but that is not enough. Roberto should start in the next game.

I honestly think people should watch the game again. He played a decent game against the best team in the world. I think people need to realize that he was never signed to be our starting right back, he was signed to hold that spot until we had our starting right back. On top of that, he needs more time after that injury he had. He did ok against the best team in the world. He's obviously not as good as Semedo, but I think he will be good for us against most la liga teams.

The fact that you're one in hundred people to think you, should tell you something? The guy was utter shit.

Walker was what we were looking for .. But yet again, we choose the half measure with semedo.. a hit or miss type of deal .. we seem to be on the miss-end everytime though.

People need a scapegoat, its understandable. The players who are supposed to be qorld class l8ke Suarez or Mesi underperformed, and yet they are barely getting the heat. Its understandable

Oleguer was proud of Vidal's performance. Not only was his defense utter shit, he is not fit for playing 90 minutes, he was jogging and looking for air past the 80th minute. Madrid didn't even attack by their right side and to be quite honest they didn't need to because Vidal did not stop one advance. Just look at this heatmap, it's ridiculous.

My friend summed it up perfectly, he said that Vidal is our own version of Danilo, he's better than most going forward and has pace but when it comes to defending he'e lost, below average...

Vidal's game against Real Madrid actually reminds me of Danilo's against Celta Vigo, Danilo drifting in and acting as a forward and having no sense of positional awarenss. But, in Vidal's case, he sometimes drifted and played on the left and center.

I never thought he's THAT bad defensively, truly a shocker, like I said in the Valvarde thread, playing Vidal in the second leg will be a disaster.

His level is against mid-table clubs and that's pushing it, I might even play Roberto instead of him.

Like I said when someone suggested that Vidal was class in those 5 matches before his injury. Strong games vs. weak opponents doesn't mean anything. I hope Semedo gets playing time soon. I have much higher hopes in him.
