Lol, everyone forgets this was his first competitive game in half a year against current best team and best player in the world. Really surprised he was picked to start, was clearly not ready. Not that he would anywhere top class player but as a sub wing or RB he can be useful.

I think in general this was the first big game he played for us bar his injury.

When he got here it was always Alves and Roberto playing in the big games as RBs. The games he played before he was parked by Lucho and after he was brought back into the fold before his injury were always against weaker teams.

Even against weaker teams he struggled on the defensive side.

Didn't know Messi played for Real Madrid.

He just doesn't cut it.

He's playing like a Winger who's tracking back instead of defending properly like a Real RB should.

that's the whole thing. the way he plays you would think he's playing as a RW who's being instructed to track back and help support the Defense and the Right-back. But he's the RB in this case and he's not playing like one.

Hope to god he does not play today, Valvarde...please start Roberto if you don't think Semedo's ready, please.

Or better.

Just play your 4-2-3-1, test it against Real Madrid. Play Vidal or Defolu as the RW and Denis on the left wing, Roberto and Bus double piovt, Semedo as our right back.

Please.

He will start, you can count on it
This time he will be asked to play more deep and that's when he will be butchered again, this time one-on-one by Marcelo, Isco, asensio etc

Lol no way he will play, it was sorry to look at when Isco was running at him, or how he was doing the Arda when we got counter attacked, Valverde will be confirmed Lucho 2.0 if he starts Vidal.

The injury is still affecting his mind, didn't want to rush too much on the 1v1 against the Betis goalie.
