what the hell? do you even know what position Arfa plays before comparing him to Alan, Vidal, Roberto etc? I doubt you ever seen him play. He plays advanced AM/Forward. He scored 17 goals for Nice this season (Ligue one 3rd top scorer after Ibra and Lacazette). The players you mentioned play different roles and not sub for MSN. Arfa will be MSN's sub.

As for Alan, he needs to play more to develop so selling him to a team where he can play more is ideal. of course with buy back option.

I know he plays #10 for Nice, but primarily out wide at Newcastle and we're primarily a front-3 team. He's an upgrade on the guys we have and I get that in times when Messi goes to 10 we could do with a RW, but isn't that we have brought Arda? If he can't fill in at AM/RW, where is he to play?

Given it some thought this morning I guess Ben Arfa could be a good signing considering he's free, but I'm not totally convinced he's necessary. Doubt he'd be used as a backup for Suarez too.

The deal is still pending and it depends on him .that is the problem with the buyback deal .players might actually go against it or prefer the higher wage offer. seem PL clubs has interest in him
Alen showed faith in the club when he prefered Sporting over Hamburg when he was more interested in the later .but will that continue?
Valencia look good in paper ,better than Sevilla for sure .but right now the club is a mess and we don't even know who is gonna coach him there never mind there are many players for sale
Also the team is very young ,which might not be the best for his development .young players need more veteran presence for their development tan they were one of the youngest teams in Liga last year
I don't know ,they look like a good option but I would like to see how their coaching job sort out,is Ayestaran will continue or Pellegrini coming in?

3-year buy-back would be perfect if we can get that. Also include % of future sale if we in the end don't decide to buy him back but Valencia sell him to another club.

I don't quite understand it. What happens if we want to buy him back before the 3 year mark?

Also, sell us Mustafi!

If it happens then I hope we can at least include some 1st option on couple of their players
They have many interesting players tbh Mustafi,Rodrigo,Bakkali,Cancelo,Gayà,Danilo etc .such clauses could make future deals easier

Are transfer fees lower when buy-back-options are included?

I don't rate him, but still, 5M sounds like a really, reeeeally low amount, considering how hyped Halilovic was 1-2 years ago, and that he can still turn into a good player...

(We sold even Adama for 10 to 12M Euros plus a buy-back option... Halil isn't that much rated outside of Barca's forum considering his price?)

5m and then 12-15m with a buyback.

What it tells is that the club believes he'll make it, so it's a good investment.

Valencia will get a player which is theirs, for the time being at least, and Barca can in two-three years get a much better player back for a symbolic sum considering the transfer market these days.

Yes it is lower ,there is a reason why D.Suarez buyback is 3.25M for example
If we want to cash on Halilovic we can easily get 15M for him from EPL club.but buyback AND the club we want to develop him are both integral part of his price .
Valencia won't pay much for him ,but such deal surve us right on 2 things :
1-He develops in club we think is good for him ,they are known for their attacking football and developing young players (I question that part considering we don't know who is their coach ,they go after Benitez and he might be doomed)
2-Establish our relationship with them ,which has been the club strategy for so long .to have gr8 connections with most Liga clubs so we can get deals from them rather than those clubs looking for selling to foreign clubs
