Barçapocalypse NOW!
It depends on the game really.

I think Pedro is a better finisher and a better link up player. Alexis' major strength while attacking are his excellent runs but space is usually at a premium in champions league games. If Tata can get that space for us however, I might change my opinion.

And that's the beauty of it... We have BOTH Pedro and Alexis, we don't have to chose one or the other and that's what can give us and edge...

If Pedro is in better form or more suited for a game than Alexis or vice versa, then I can't see how's that a bad thing...

Calma, calma
It's not a bad thing that we have both of them, no one has implied that. If Pedro played on the right the same way he plays on the left, which we know he can, he would be the ideal player anywhere for Barca's right wing.

It's a bad thing that neither currently are ideal on the RW for the champions league. I would prefer current Pedro over current Sanchez, but doesn't mean I wouldn't take certain strikers over both of them. But these strikers are fairly unreachable targets, which is why you will not see me advocating for the sale of Alexis or Pedro.

I would be interested to see either of them in the center forward spot, but tata has already ruled that out.

Wholly disagree with this Pedro is better in smaller space opinion. Of anything, we can say Alexis is better in open space but that does not necessitate in any way that Pedro is better in smaller space. It's actually still the opposite. Pedro can only function when other players take all the markers, he struggles when the defense can both mark messi with four and still keep an eye on him. Yet, Pedro is a smart player and very important but starting him ahead of Alexis for the forward position is out of the question for me unless we wanna play with one less forward so if it is a tactical issue. Alexis is unquestionly better in the final third, better at taking his man, creating a goal, and closing down high up the field.

Saw glimpses of his Spain form on the RW but he got shifted back to the LW we'll probably see more when neymar comes back.

Edit: @Beautifulgame I dispute what you said about Pedro on taking on his man and creating goals since 1) He's the best crosser on the team and squares the ball just as well as alexis and 2) There are plenty of times that Pedro does dribbles like ronaldinho and looks more impressive than anything I see alexis doing but he does it less often.

Well, it seems then there are only just many haters around here since every little single word one says about Alexis not doing that well they get bashed as haters and after that they gather and repeat it in a choir to every single one that dares to say his opinion nicely and calmly...

No, its the unreasonable shit you and others offload in his generall direction after every game that is getting on me and others. He is one of our players , but there is some people here who just cant say he had a good game withoout also saying but..."he lost the ball", "he didnt pass Messi" , "He missed one shot", "he slipped", this really got to stop, it has nothing to do with his general performance and no other player takes this much shit considering how good he generally has been this season.
Its very tedious to read all the complaints. I hope he leaves in the summer so we can stop Reading so much bull.

That is exactly what I meant by "unconditionally" when supporting Alexis or Barca, right now I don't refer to you falks as "fanatics" but all of you refer to us as "haters"... That is verry little from guys, so little...

If you just and just.... give the guy credit when due without taking a cheapshot, then people may stop calling you guys for 'haters'....

Jugadorazo is having the season of his life I'd say.

All that criticism(And some was deserved) and he's definitely silenced a lot of doubters.

Sometimes he drifts in and out of games but his workrate is off the charts.
