Alexis Sanchez

I think he's good back up through the center when Messi is injured and is good on the wing against La Liga minnows but apart from that game against Madrid at the Camp Nou i've never really been impressed by him in big games that i remember.

I was just looking at his champions league record 3 goals and 3 assists in 24 appearances. Neymar already has scored more than him (4 goals) and has the same number of assists in 10 appearances. Pedro's record is 15 goals and 3 assists in 52 appearances. These are nowhere near good enough to win the champions league with we need another striker other than Messi who will score regularly in the champions league. Reus has 9 goals and 4 assists in 22 appearances. Aguero 17 goals and 3 assists in 34 games.

I think we need 4 signings GK, CB, CM, FW probably won't sign a forward though i think we need another reliable goal scorer

we've got Ter Stegen which is a good start Courtois/ De Gea would have been the best but they're unfeasible. I've been saying for a long time I think Koscielny would be a good fit for us Hummels, Benatia are both not seen Mangala but heard good things hopefully we don't get David Luiz! we want to strengthen the defence not weaken it. CM well Gundogan would be the dream signing if he could get over his injuries too sign to resign Thiago unfortunately while Pep is still there Koke would be an excellent signing. Not signing another CM wouldn't be a disaster but we'd have to try the Busquets-Cesc-Iniesta midfield and we've seemed reticent to do that.

Next part is pure fantasy football Suarez/ Aguero/ Muller/ Reus/ Mandzukic we need an alternative forward as an option doubtful we'll sign one though the first two and I really think we'd win the treble. As for outgoings well ones that aren't retiring Song sold for about 15 million Affelay for about 5 million, Deulofeu, Roberto, Tello and Rafinha out on loan. I'd serious consider selling Alexis if we could do a cash+player deal for the first two. Any idea what our budget is for when we inevitably get the transfer ban delayed? Got to be massive surely if we're expecting a ban.

This may sound like a kneejerk reaction but I think I've given up on Sanchez. His inability to beat players 1v1 is too much for me to handle.I watched Deulofeu today and he beat his marker 1v1 several times. Bring the kid back and send Alexis on his way.

What? He played at least three good through balls in the 15 minutes he played... I think he did well, he only screwed up past the 90 minute mark...

I'm usually the first to criticize Alexis, but to be honest, in situations like tonight, pretty much nobody can beat a player 1v1.

Eh beating a player 1v1 is the same in any league, bus or no bus.

Are you serious? Beating a player when the opposite team has parked the bus is alot harder than beating a player in a counter-attack/with alot of space, which is quite common in the PL because of the nature of the league.

And it's not like Alexis was terrible today.

I'm all for criticizing Alexis when it's due but if people are doing it in a game like today's where the overall game plan and tactic were flawed, it's unfair. He was energetic and looked to help the team offensively and defensively. He was fine.

Truly , you already had a long time ago, you been posting shit about him for awhile now, deservedly or not.

I thought Pedro played quite well in the first half. Very lively and creating problems for them, but as the rest of the team, the end product was missing.
