If MD's report is correct and Valverde wants to keep Gomes, then the club will point to his 100 Million euro buyout clause if United want him aka fuck off clause.
Who knows Valverde could probably do a better job utilizing Gomes than Lucho could. but either way this season coming up is likely his final chance and if he still struggling here at the end of the season then he's gone.

Arda will either be loaned out until his contract expires (most likely) or we simply pay his wages while never playing him until his contract expires. Gomes will be sold for pocket change next summer.
We wont get any money for any of our players this summer IMO, with the possible exception of a few millions for Rafinha if he is sold.
What we have to spend on players is what the transfer budget is. Probably a little less because we are likely to still have to pay a good chunk of the wages of all the players we loan out.

Because apparently he has some magical skills nobody can see. He is only playing 20% of his potential.
Sure, he has big body, but he will never be aggressive player who will win ball challenges. Way too soft player for my liking. He has all the tools to be very effective footballer, but aggressiveness is not there and creativity.
