They absolutely love him in Everton. Just looked through their forum and some call him their best player for some time now. That they should spend 70-80m on him.

We should at the very least get 50m.

Hopefully in January we will make the deal plus I still think we should put an offer in for Denis Suarez.

It's funny to think but a bit like City or Chelsea your B team would probably challenge the top 4 of most leagues.

Maybe it's due to Valverde's poor development skills. :thinking: Should we bring him back, what do you think?

I think when it comes down to it, he plays his best football in a double pivot.

But also it seems he couldn't handle the pressure of playing for a team like ours. He seemed like someone who was so afraid of fucking up here it limited what he could bring to the table.

I still wouldn't bring him back. He admitted that he felt the big pressure for playing a club like Barca and it looks like he's more comfortable playing at Everton. The mental aspect is properly the most important characteristic you need if you want to play for a big club and he showed that he doesn't. Better to focus on other midfielders.

I know you are being sarcastic for the sake of your beloved Saint Ernie, but mismanagement was a big part of Gomes and other players problem. An example was playing him after his big mental breakdown in an important game, that was straight up a retarded level of man-management. Also, every bad player who left the team now playing great (with the exception of Turan), and every great player who moved to Barca regressed. And you still wonder why? btw, do you smoke before watching Barca's games?
