Iniesta is a world class player but tonight so far really poor by his standards which means he OK.

I walk the line
By the way beast it wasnt offside from iniesta for the first goal. I have it paused on the exact moment messi plays it to iniesta and iniesta is definitely onside.

Once Maz....I counted.....and it was Villa who won the ball.

Great post btw but its really hard to imagine Andres inspiring his teammates. Calming them down before a game, more like it.lol

P.S My favourite pass has to be that chip to Alves. Incredible.

I walk the line
Im pretty sure I counted twice GJ. There was also one just after the villa one i think.

By the way he doesnt inspire them by shouting at them and telling them to man up. He inspires them by the pureness of his football. He makes his teammates realise to keep their mind on the game at hand and nothing else.

:rofl1: I saw that report too. As flattering as it is that that clown wants our players, he has his head in the clouds man. I remember seeing once when Iniesta was asked at a press conference about moving to madrid, he didn't even answer, just laughed and went "Is that a serious question?"

He's just taking Dani's advice. Unless Madrid do their summer shopping at Barca, they won't have the best players in the world...because they're all right here.

Quiet man Iniesta has plenty to shout about

THEY say it's the quiet ones you have to watch out for – and that's something Gus Hiddink and his Chelsea players would do well to remember.
In the build-up to Tuesday's Champions League semi-final first-leg showdown with Barcelona at the Nou Camp, much of the talk has centred on how the London club plan to stop the mercurial Lionel Messi. However, the considerably less fashionable Andres Iniesta is proving Barça do not suffer from an over-dependency on the Argentine maestro.

Messi may indeed be the best player in the world, but it's Iniesta who has been the best player on the pitch for Barcelona this season. The unassuming Spaniard's stunning form was elevated to another level on Wednesday night after his virtuoso performance guided Barça to an emphatic 4-0 romp over third-placed Sevilla, and now many in Spain say the little midfielder is among the best players on the planet.
Spain's national team coach, Vicente del Bosque, who shortly begins preparations for June's Confederations Cup in South Africa, is a big admirer, lavishing praise on Iniesta's recent performances, while admitting he's counting on the player's contributions this summer.

"Iniesta is a magnificent example of what a footballer should be," gushed Del Bosque. "He has great human qualities and I hope he does not lose them. He's also very disciplined and he's not limited to playing in one single position.

Team-mate Samuel Eto'o more than backed up Del Bosque's praise, going as far as to suggest that the Albacete-born playmaker is the best player in the world.

"Whenever Iniesta steps on to the pitch, he creates a spectacle. He is the best player in the world," the Cameroon striker said.

The Catalan press were also quick to bestow praise on the player, reminding readers that when Barça's form dipped in late February and early March, it was also the time that Iniesta got injured: it was more than just a coincidence.
The next few days are crucial for Barcelona, with a league match against Real Madrid sandwiched between the two Chelsea games, and Iniesta is key to their hopes of a Champions League, league title and Spanish Cup treble.

Since Pep Guardiola took over from Frank Rijkaard at the Nou Camp last summer, Iniesta has become an integral part of the Barcelona unit. With Guardiola playing him on the left and then giving him the freedom to roam across the midfield and surge up front, the little dynamo has progressed in leaps and bounds.

The modest midfielder, however, says he's far from reaching his peak.

"The emotion I get from the Nou Camp fans is one of the nicest sensations you can have as a player," said Iniesta. "So I'll try to return this love with my play on the field. A footballer's career is a continuous learning process. I must progress to be more complete. I am 25 years old and the best is yet to come."
Though a product of Barça's school for youths, La Masia, Iniesta almost ended up playing for the club's bitter rivals. Initially, the 12-year-old Iniesta was supposed to sign for Real Madrid, but his parents were dismayed the proximity of street crime and brothels to the Madrid youth set up. They were then advised to take their son north to Catalonia and take a look at what Barcelona had to offer.
