Andrés Iniesta

I don't think the MOTM thread can be used as an end-all be-all argument, I doubt too many people put serious thought and analysis into who their top three is and why, I feel as if most people just put the first three names that pop up into their head. I know I do that sometimes.

So which player should top it?

Fck knows, my point was that all of them were poor in the big game by and large. Not that Iniesta was any worse than the rest.

None of them should be singled out as if they were brilliant like Iniesta gets and his poor performances glossed over.

Messi MOTM in Home vs Bilbao, both home and away vs Sevilla, home vs Real Sociedad, in both legs vs ManCity, and in the 4-3 Clasico.

Depends if you are counting Sevilla, Bilboa and Sociedad as the big games I suppose.

Which has not been part of this debate.

If all of them were poor we wouldn't have been 40 minutes away from winning the league and wouldn't have beaten the champions of England 4-1 on aggregate and wouldn't have beaten Real Madrid twice in La Liga and wouldn't have won the Supercopa against Atletico.

There is a difference between being poor and not being outstanding.

None of Messi or Iniesta or anyone else might have given 10/10 performances this season. If they gave 7/10 and are still perceived so much better than the rest then it only puts even worse light on how Cesc has performed.

As I said before,

an average Barca fought at par with Historical Atletico de Madrid , an average Barca stayed ahead of Best Real Madrid in 12 years. Well the 10/10 Best Barca is sure treble winning team.

Jamdev's delusion is too high to make him understand some basic concepts.

From the man who thinks Barca finish without Messi - now that is deluded.

Well as I said those were not the teams being debated as the 'top teams'. Fair enough if you think they are.

Well I was only responding to your skeptic comment to Usergor's posted graph, so I commented why that graph said what it did. I did not refer to previous posts.

Hilarious last couple of pages. Cesc never outperformed the Don in a pro football match (let alone a season), and never will.

Nonsense. I absolutely love Iniesta, he's probably my favorite player, but to say that player X will on no occasion ever be better than player Y, even for 90 minutes, is just proof of how blind hatred works.
