Real fans are always very keen on getting our and Atletico's players. I woud not want any Espanyol/Real player to be honest, not directly anyway and especially if they represent the club somehow and lack redeeming qualities.
For example Ramos,Ronaldo,Pepe,Marcelo,Bale,Benzema they are tainted and I would not like them at Barca at all.
Same with a player like Isco, a die hard Barca fan who I would have loved to have seen play for barca ends up playing for Real. Like a straight man turning gay for money. Kicking Ney was the final nail in his coffin in becoming tainted as well.
Real fans in general are different in that way it seems, they would love to have Messi/Iniesta/Neymar turn Figo and betray us for them. Maybe a guy like Pique is the exception.

It's called desperation. You wouldn't like Modrić ? You'd mind players like Varane,Carvajal,Kovačić joining you? The only Barcelona player that I'd want joining us is Neymar.
