Antoine Griezmann

He's playing really well against Bolivia right now. A goal and an assist.
He will be an amazing addition to our team if only we had a competent manager to bench the fatty Suarez.

What position did he play today? Was Mbappe playing as a striker today?

Maybe it is nothing but some people noticed something odd with Leonardo.

People are keeping tabs on his virtual activity and they noticed he has started to follow all PSG players, Ligue 1 account etc, giving some more credency about his arrival at PSG.

However, he follows one player that is not a PSG player. That player is none other than Griezmann.

Maybe that means nothing, maybe that means something.

would not be wise. 120m should be spent elsewhere. PSG needs to reinforce everywhere but their attack. They need two fullbacks a decent CB maybe even a GK. Definitely a CDM and a couple of CMs.

I am fairly certain that he is going to come to us. I would like to see him at Barca and I believe that we will sign him.

I am so hoping that he goes to PSG. Please keep Neymar and buy Griezmann and I will be so thankful.

i know you dont like Griezmann but lets say he does end up at PSG.. who the hell do we go for? Jovic is gone, do we really rely on Suarez for another season?

(i know with Valverde its likely Suarez starts every game but lets say our manager grows a brain and a pair of balls over the summer break)

I don't know, I'd prefer a younger talent, a real CF prospect, a player who has the potential to be a long-term replacement for Suarez. I have not watched Joao Felix at all so I don't know how good he is. I'd want us to start looking in Brazil, France and Spain and the rest of Europe for this prospect. Next season it is going to be a wash anyway and I think Suarez will be here nevertheless so we are OK without buying a CF/attacking player this summer.

Griezmann on the other hand will be a panic buy in my opinion, not a true CF, can't really play Suarez's position and plays in Messi's position. He will turn out to be a flop by the middle of next season and we will have a hard time offloading him by the end of next season, given his big salary and age (will be 29 next March). It is the Coutinho episode again, only shorter this time. I just don't want us to get an expensive panic buy, a patch that will soon turn out to be a deadweight that we won't easily get rid of.

Speaking of buying players, where is FFP when you need it? How can we justify spending big on so many players (86m for De Jong, potentially the same amount for De Ligt, 120m for Griezmann and another 80 to 90m for a friggin' Rodrigo M. and possibly 30m for Firpo without making major sales? Wouldn't that violate the FFP? If the FFP can help us stay away from Griezmann and Neymar I would be even more thankful.

Don't forget 50ME for Dani Parejo :valverde2:

But lets say, realistically:
De Jong 86 ME
De ligt 70 ME
Griezmann 120 ME
Rodrigo 60 ME
Backup GK x ME

Total purchase: 336+x ME

Sales, realistically:
Coutinho 100 ME
Malcolm 30 ME
Semedo 30 ME
Gomes 30 ME
Cillesen 30 ME

Total in: 220 ME

Net: 116 ME + x ME for a new backup GK, which can be from la masia or some old guy for peanuts as there are plenty of pretty good GKs around nowadays

Rodrigo could be just a lie to turn off the attention from Griezmann and so that AM couldn't fill a lawsuit against us:
Like: we never negotiated with Griezmann until July.
And even in June we didn't know whom we will buy.

Or, the other option, a classical Barto's move, to make like a Griezmann was not an easy task.
We tried, he resisted, we moved to other option, and then finally a Santa Barto managed to get a player.

Since Griezmann can play at all 3 attacking positions, I don't believe that we will buy BOTH Griezmann and Rodrigo.
If we sign him, either Dembele won't play at all, or Rodrigo won't play at all.
Not to mention that Malcom surely won't play at all.

Imagine a round 1 of La Liga:
Griezz, Suarez, Messi
Round 2:
Dembele, Suarez, Messi
Round 3:
Griezz, Suarez, Messi
Round 4:
Dembele, Suarez, Messi

Rodrigo would get a chance once in 5 or 10 matches.
I mean, during with MSN, Lucho wasn't able to even give too much playing time to a 4th option: Pedro.
And with Messi, Suarez, Griezz, Dembele, Rodrigo=we would have 5 options.

The only option is if a board thinks that Dembele could be injured all the time again, so we'll need a 4th option then in Rodrigo :/

Rodrigo would be such a poor signing. I'm in the school of thought that Neymar and Rodrigo are smokescreens.
