Antoine Griezmann

We signed the best striker in the world at that moment, so wtf, James would've probably been already in Paris if we signed him in 2014 :troll:.

And Griezmann is far from Suarez' level. A great opportunity arose as a result of his behavior in the WC. We are unlikely to strike that kind of luck again.

Yes, of course James was underwhelming and found it very difficult to get into the starting eleven. He's a very good player though. I am not saying that it is impossible for 23 year olds to fail and impossible for 28 year olds to succeed. But the value in the 23 year old signing is much better on average.

If James is so good why did one of the richest clubs in the world only agree to a 2 year loan with an OPTION to buy? The least risky deal for Bayern imaginable. If Suarez was on the market this summer he would still have clubs willing to pay 40 or 50 mill for him.

Guess how old Modric was when he signed for Real? 27. Still world class.

Didn't we have offers for Arda from China? He just didn't want to leave.

Maybe Galatasaray would offer something? Or maybe we could talk to Fener or Besiktas so they would bid too putting pressure on his old club.

A. You work for Goldman Sachs and under contract. You receive 250k salary + 100% bonus. You are in an M&A team but not the star yet happy to be a sidekick for a Gordon Gekko type personality. The team don't expect you to outperform anyone and they are happy with you work and Goldman Sachs attitude.

B. Now you get an offer from a small local bank. The salary is 80k + maybe 20-30% bonus. You can become the star but at this age, you just want to do 9-5 and go home to your kids, so you have no desire to work 14 hours a day.

Which option will you choose?

Griezmann in 2014 would've cost us 30m and man it would've been a huge success.

i would rather panick and pay 200M on this guy than on some unproven players .. 100 Millions next year is no brainer. Manchester are going to pay that and fill his pockets with some fatass check.

100% agree. If liverpool and dortmund are going to reject our bids and maintain their €150m price tag, we might as well just buy Griezmann. At least he is a proven world-class player

If anything, Atletico would be begging Griezmann to leave with the amount of money they'd be receiving (even under a transfer ban). That amount is literally their revenue

Atletico: Keep Griezmann and get ***** by rma in QF, SF or F ; Sell Griezmann, chances you lose before playing rma and break the curse.

He has a clause so it isn't their decision, it's Griezmann's, should he want to leave next summer.

no, we should buy Mbappe. Ideally, Mbappe should be on our target list right now as we simply dont know when Suarez will start to decline rapidly. Our season is finished if Paco is the preferred alternative as a result of Suarez age decline.

Mbappe would of been perfect, could of played LW and as Suarez declines we can move him to ST. we aren't getting him though imo he'll end up at PSG.
