Well i'd take Saul over Puig, Pjanic, Roberto and Coutinho. It's not like we could suddenly get a world class physical CM out of nowhere no matter if there is a Griezmann-Saul swap happening or not.

Ideally we could even get 2 new midfielders while getting rid of more deadweight there but that seems a bit too optimistic in the current situation.

That's true if Saul is the only option and we can get extra cash for it. I wouldn't hate it as much. Atletico needs to add some COIN though.

Don't think he's slow. He's clearly faster than Busi. I know he still has his fans but we need to phase him out of the lineup.

We also need to be realistic. We can't buy a midfielder for 30-40m right now that would immediately improve the team. So swap deals are our only options and from who is at least somewhat realistically available Saul is by far the best.

Realistic does not mean we can accept Atleti's garbage because the spoiled cocky boy wants only to play for Atleti.
Either they give us something we need and value, or gtfo

faster than Busi does not mean no slow.
Given the demads of modern football he is neither fast nor agile nor powerful enough in defense.
Plus he is not aggressive at all.
