Exactly. Some players peak earlier and never recover.

It would be big risk. You trade quality for a random present box or shit box.

It's a risk. Maybe he is burnt out of Simeone shithouse football, concentrating more on the defensive aspect than offence.

Going to a possession based team and playing with Pedri and Puig might be what's best for business.

Didn't he sign for 9 years or something like that? They tied him down on a pretty fat contract. A quick google search has him on €14.4 million a year. If that is before taxes though, the actual figure isn't that high.


It's not very relevant anyway because Laporta will not bring him here unless his wages are decreased severely to about 4m-5m.

14 million a year is a massive salary. 269k€ a week.

For a potential bust? Damn.. That's a massive risk.

I doubt Atletico wants him back. He's 30 now and will cost them a fortune in terms of a transfer fee or salary, especially during COVID when teams are trying to cut down.

Also, there is no way we just do a straight swap for just Saul. Besides, Saul will be on high wages.... and I doubt he'd take a massive pay cut to come here.

30 is not a big deal. He's still got 3 years of prime in him

And it's probably another la liga next year for atletico.
They should take the risk. Collect as many la ligas as they can while other two big teams in shambles

I would not be mad with this transfer.

Griezmann is hot and cold, never seen him influence in big games.

Didn't watch Saul, but if he is good like when he was best it is okay transfer.

We fixed midfield , depay can replace griezmann and laporta gets margine in salarys because Griezmann is on 40+ mil per year.
