Statistics showed that he didn't attempt a single dribble in the match, nor did he offer a single shot on goal at San Mames.

Griezmann touched the ball only 37 times across the entirety of the match.

so now that Messi ain't here , what are the excuses for him ?

No wonder no one wants him. Barto was the only loser who wanted to give this guy almost 50 mil salary/year .

I think he will be even worse now that messi is gone. There will be less space without leo for him and griezmann has not the speed nor the technique to beat his man.

Anyone who thinks Messi was responsible for Griezmann's individual flaws is an idiot. Griezmann struggles because he's got no pace, dribbling ability, and aggressive forward play; not because Messi "occupied his space", especially when Griezmann's space is lounging around the defensive 3rd like a fullback.

This is exactly it! He runs around like a headless chicken in the middle of the field, some easy passes and flicks - does nothing in the final third and can't dribble to save his life - fucking joke of a player and we paid 100m+ for this clown. We could have bought a player for 10m that is 300% better.
We won't sell him for shit with the wages he demands - does he actually think he is worth the wage he has? Ship him out before we ship Dumbelle and Bigfoot out - fucking frustrating to watch!!!

Wasn't he supposed to thrive in Messi's absence ? He is playing like Messi in a free role but has been totally invisible for the last 2 games. Those other members here who try to support him because of his defensive contribution should fuck off because if Barca knew they were spending 120m only on that, we should have used that money properly by purchasing Van Dijk, de Ligt or any other world class defender.

There are some players that seem to belong to certain clubs and then there's de Ligt who looks utterly miserable out there. Maybe it's a clash of cultures or whatever.

How many times did he tackle, make interceptions or win the ball back though?
