This guy has flop written all over him.

Manchester United paying 100m for him would be amazing.

90mil+ on an Eredivisie winger who has 8 goals and 4 assists last season.. I'm not sure who's crazier; Ajax for turning that money down or United for offering it.

Exactly my thoughts. Also pretty sure Ajax believes they can get even more and they probably will as ETH wants his boy.

They probably don't wanna sell him to bald fraud ex manager ten Haag out of principle because it seems like this fool is coming to buy the whole team

To be honest, ManU is paying massive overprice for every player they sign from Ajax, sooo.. win win win situation. Everybody wins.

Ajax just knows they can wait and get better offer.

Very talented but worth nowhere near the money United is trying to get him for.

12 goals and 10 assists last season in all competitions. Heck Depay when he got his move to United he was the same age but he scored 28 goals and got 8 assists in his final season at PSV, but even then the PL at the time was still to much for him and he ended up flopping.

Exactly. The level of the league isn't very high when Luuk De Jong is killing it for fun.

The transfer is happening forreal now. Market is so fucked, a half decent winger can break the 100m barrier when few years ago it was reserved for those with world class potential and in Antony I personally dont see that. He's not even top 10 in his position.

Ridiculous transfer, there are so many better wingers already playing in the PL at midtable clubs that would cost significantly less. ten Hag is obsessed with throwing stupid money at Ajax players.

Put this into perspective. 100mil for a player who scored 8 goals and assisted 4 times in the Eredivisie playing for Ajax... I'm just glad we got almost all of our business done before they fucked the market even more.

I think he will be an absolute star !

It is not ridiculous money when a young
untried CB just back from a serious injury cost Chelsea around 90 million euros .. and a 21 year old winger from Everton is gonna cost 70 million euros
Gordon has only scored 5 goals in his league career of 64 games

They make so much money in EPL now, so expect more crazy transfer fees. This is also why I said 80m for De Jong to the premier league is cheap. The 20th-placed team (Norwich) in EPL last season earned 100.3m as their prize money, which is close to what Ajax made last season even after finishing top of their league so EPL clubs have got money.

I actually think Antony has been underrated on this forum since Ajax CL exit last season.

Huge money though.

He's not worth anything like the money being quoted and will not provide the foundation for a winning team at the highest level, but if he comes in and helps set the standard in terms of tactical approach and work ethic and pushes people in the same position then maybe it's what United need to move forward.

Football is getting ridiculous, that in the very unlikely case that it is not ridiculous already. It became a dick measuring contest between some billionaires.
