Wenger cant rate him all that highly.

He never really considered him as the back up right back once Sagna had left.

Because he's not ready yet. He only turned 19 a few months ago, and is developing for a position where experience is crucial. Attacking midfield gets more freedom and more protection, but inexperienced fullbacks can lose you games. A tactically smart manager could notice a weakness in a shaky or nervous fullback and focus the team's passing down that flank.

He'll get there, though. Wenger definitely rates him very highly. For a teenager to be training constantly with the first team, and already involved in preseason says a lot. It's all up to him to make the most of the chances he will get this season. Maybe a champions league group stage match if we qualify early, or FA Cup and Carling Cup. If he impresses, he'll play more.

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
No. They gave him a professional contract at an age where we weren't allowed to. So they didn't have to deal with us at all. But it's ok. He's a Catalan La Masia boy. If he fulfills his potential, he'll be back. You can count on it.

Our players will just start talking about him having Barca DNA, no big deal. He will come back if he becomes good enough.

I wonder if we're going to spend all season bitching about strikers? The lineup is all over the place at the mo because of the Wilshere 'conundrum'. His inclusion is affecting both Ramsey and Ozil (should never play left)

Looks like Poldi is going. :(

Can have Welbeck for Wilshere.

I'd rather shoot Jack in the back of the head then see him play for another English team.

I could see it happening though especially if Wilshere doesn't find an established role that works for him and the team. Which is why I think Wenger is slightly shoehorning him into the team at the expense of others hoping it clicks. Though at the moment the team looks better without him in the starting 11.

I'd be gutted if we let Arsenal sign Welbeck, it just makes no sense for us to help a rival finish above us. I really really rate him, and think he'd do great for Arsenal.

I am so glad we are not doing any deadline deals. It is total chaos out there. Unexpected moves happening so fast.
