Like the commentator said.
He has a head of a much older player.
Hes only 21, only 2 years older than Puig and bosses other players around gesturing them where to run and where to pass.

He missed one pass though. Cant leave a game without something for BBZ to write an essay about.

Watching him today again reminded me so much of Xavi. Same goes for Puig, resembling Iniesta. The pure movement, beating their opponents with a turn or two, and the occasional perfect through ball like the one Puig gave to Semedo...these two are a joy to watch and i can only hope that Valverde or whoever will be our next manager doesn't screw this up. It'll be interesting to see where they measure up after our big boys of midfield return. I'm guessing Puig will be in the squad for Copa and the occasional La Liga match, while i fully expect Arthur to cement himself into our starting 11, if he keeps this up. And if hopefully Valverde doesn't screw with him and starts benching him once his lover boys Rakitic and Vidal join the squad.

Very impressive yet again. This time he played the full 90. Much more offensively minded this time. 2 or 3 diagonals from deep, 1-2s, shielding and turning on the ball, countless interceptions, 2 nutmegs in the second half.

He also took the only decent corner we had all game, and worked Donnarumma really well in the only shot on goal he had in the game.

He's special, and he's only getting started here.

It will be perfect for him to start a lot of league-games against parked busses, where he can find the final pass to Messi/Dembele/Alba/Suarez.
I believe he will need a full season before we truly can utilize him in CL, because a lot of unspoken understanding between the players need to develop first.

What impressed me was the ability to fit into the team flawlessly like a puzzle piece. Seemed to play with great ease as well.

Imagine him picking out Dembele or Messi, Suarez where they often convert goals, will be a joy to watch. Not to mentioned his shooting ability. I think he would be a more complete package and a better fit as compared to Raki.

imagine this lineup in a few years

.............De Jong
.......Arthur.....Puig
.Dembele...Messi..Coutinho

Or may be Messi be gone to Argentina and we have a new CF there.

Teams won't know what hit them

Like how he was one of the first in whenever Milan acted liked twats.

I noticed that too.

Arthur might look docile, but like most of these South American kids - who have been through thick and thin - they're some tough motherfuckers, man.

We need a little bit of that now that Masche left - even with Vidal coming in.

His composure is a joy to watch. He's also a leader on and off the pitch and plays with maturity. I really hope we get De Jong to join up with him. We are getting starved of these types of midfielders who make the difficult look easy with Xavi and Iniesta gone and Busi ageing.

Arthur is not a schoolboy.
He is willing to kick and fight, he is not a pushover like majority of our current team.

That part is surely good.

You put him the "light, technical" category just few posts ago. And i pointed out his physicality. But yeah he also seems a tough nut not to be messing with. Very good.
