He will turn to a great midfielder in Serie A. The pace of the league, the lack of necessity for midfield creatives will suit him.

Just a shame we won't be reinvesting in a different profile at a positive age.

Maybe it would be good deal for both clubs.

I just hope so Pjanic is better at CM position then Arthur. We have 3 CDM.

People are actually happy we are trading a player who is going to be entering his prime for a player who is past it?

What the fuck??

Pjanic is not going to get better... only decline. He will get a new fat contract tying him to the club until he’s in his mid 30’s...

This is the type of deal we need to stay away from.

They are both past their prime.

Pjanic probably has 2-3 years of football left in him.
Arthur will probably retire the next summer.

It could be better if we fail to get the 60m we need as the board will 100% not be elected and the new board can sue the previous board as they are liable.... right?

We sold Andre Gomes and Paco Alcacer entering their primes too and didn't really regret it.

Imagine that you don't know the age of Arthur when you watch him play. You wouldn't think he was 23/24. He looks in his mid thirties

The key here being sold. If it was a straight sale of 70 or 80 million I’d be fine.

I do not want a 30 year old player in return.

We also sold Thiago entering his prime and people are still clamoring to bring him back.

Thiago was a different class of player to Arthur and behind some of greatest midfielders ever.

Arthur has not shown much, cant seem to last 90 mins and off field issues.

Cant really compare them as a loss.

Arthur on the market I doubt get 50m for.

this board will learn the hard way you cant just shift players around like cattle. i dont think Arthur has much chance of being a starter here but i hope he digs his heels in and stays as an FU to the board.

I really feel its best if every player stays put for now and we don't bring any new players in. give Ansu time to develop and wait for 2021 and hopefully a new board
