I wouldn't believe in these news about Barca giving up on Arthur. Arthur's father gave an interview at Globo Esporte (a local TV program) 1 hour ago, saying that Arthur was really excited to join Barca in January, but his agent told them that Barca could talk to Gremio to convince Gremio to release Arthur in July because Iniesta is probably leaving.
Maybe Barca is really looking for someone stronger and taller than Arthur, but I don't think they will give up on him.

To be fair one of the main authors of that report from MD is Francesc Aguilar who is abysmal when it comes to reporting transfer news for Barca.

He's one of those guys who campaigns hard for certain players on MD and writes articles on how Barca is interested in said player but in reality it's more of his personal wishes than what the club wants.

All summer he has been going on how we were interested in Dybala to OMG REAL IS GOING TO GET HIM! and back to we aren't interested in Dybala and even posts on twitter every now and then when Dybala has a great game saying "We should have really bought him".

Some people are not happy with mediocrity. I guess it's too hard for certain people to understand and want you to behave like blind sheep instead.

Not really about Arthur, but more of the general direction the club seem to heading towards if news like this is true. In fact it's been a series of events unfolding since 2010 from Rosell using up all our money to pay Neymar Sr and his whores to the club not willing to spend money on proper players when available, to signing wrong players and wasting an enormous amount of money and so on.

But yeah, since Barca were mediocre in the early 2000s we shouldn't complain and be grateful. It's almost as if some people here are happy being underachievers in their life and have no ambition whatsoever.

Just because I don't see Arthur as our saviour doesn't mean I'm ok with mediocrity. If he'll come (and I still think he will) then I'll give him time and support him like I supported every player (except Cesc and other players we've bought from Arsenal since Henry; there is just something about that club and Wenger that I don't like and nobody has really proven me wrong during their times here though Vermaelen is doing good now and I'm starting to like him but still think we should replace him in summer because of his injury history) that has played for Barça since I'm a fan. It's probably quite likely that if he'll struggle to make an impact (that most people think he'll have) those same people who now see him as a saviour will give up on him quicker than I will.

But IF we'll in the end decide against signing Arthur and bring someone else it won't be the end of the world and I'll support that other player as well.

We're playing so beautiful in the last 2 seasons, high defensive line, pressing 90 minutes, playing with intensity with/without the ball, short and quick passes, even our defenders and gk try to keep possession, also we're not afraid to shoot and play long balls when necessary.

I wish this team never ends
