IMHO if there is one player worth the risk of 40 mil it’s him. We need a controling midfielder and he has a playing style we were desperately looking for since Xavi left. Will he succeed or not I don’t know, there are many factors which can cause him to fail but if we risked 40 mil with Gomes than this is no brainer.
