Arturo Vidal

Well, today is innocent day"in Spain. Their version of April fool.
Good chance is this is their version of it
Not sure about that.

Seems like there's to much smoke right now for it to be a joke even though it's "innocent day" in Spain. Think a big reason for this is he's trying to force a move and looking at ways to do so.

We are in the wrong here

⚖️ Arturo Vidal is taking legal action against Barça for 2.4M in unpaid bonuses that he believes he's due. Barça disagree saying that Vidal misinterpreted his own contract.

⚖️ Vidal would get a bonus if he played 60 games but as Barcelona stipulates in their contracts, to be considered a game played, the player must play a minimum of 45 minutes.

⚖️ Vidal didn't fulfill 60% of the games and therefore, received half of the bonus.

How are we in the wrong if the bonus depends on a minimum of 45 minutes for 60 games and he isn't close to that? Seems he is in the wrong here.
Also seems he cries to the media a lot.
Also he isn't good enough for Barcelona even in this current state.

Most likely the clause in the contract is not defined well enough. The intention was probably to take the sum of the eligible matches, i.e the sum of the binary condition: if he played more than or equal to 45 mins in this match, or not.

Instead I belive his lawyers are claiming that the clause should be interpreted as taking the sum of minutes played and averageing it over 60 games. Coincidentally he played 2744 mins last season, giving 45,73 mins per 60 games. This is ofcourse them trying to pull a fast one on barca

I can't believe such minor details wouldn't be obvious explained and formulated. He is putting pressure on the club for an exit as Inter asked him to do just that and he probably thinks it's no big deal, players are entitled to do that. Club should really respond in the same manner and leave him out of the squad for 2-3 matches. He won't be missed anyway.

Weird management. Shambolic. If the cunt Vidal has the audacity to pull off a bitch move like that then why did we loan Alena. I think Valverde the snake is working behind the scenes so that no matter what Rakitic will be an automatic starter.

Obviously there's room for interpretation if Video's lawyers are arguing for it.

If there wasn't room for interpretation and it was clearly stated like the club claim Vidal wouldn't be bothering.

Where there's smoke there's fire, also match based bonuses in football usually aren't counted by minutes played but by games played.

Maybe he wants out now and wants to force our hand in negotiations.

Just conspiracy here: but what if I told you that the Vidal want to be a starter. But there is no way that he will be here, so he wants to go away. Not just go way, but go play for his old manager Conte. Knowing that Barça will not be easy negotiators in the winter market and Inter probably does have the funds we would be looking for. He decides to make a huge stink by first storming out of training cause he wasn’t named a starter. Knowing damn well he has never been a starter here. When that doesn’t really work, he is now suing Barça on this bonus dispute. In turn tanking his value and forcing the club to sell because he has become a distraction. Little does he know that the board has been trying to sign a player who is suing for a lot more. This stuff doesn’t faze them.

All we do is keep him on the bench. Inter are behind this, no doubt.

They are a low class club. Promised they'd purchase Rafinha and then backed out.

If we sell Vidal we should have first option on a few of their players.
I don't understand why Vidal would leave Barça to go to a El club. I mean our B side beat them at their ground in a match that was meaningless for us.

this makes me think...
1. next time someone is on the bench or on the field- it might have financial reasons - who would have thought.
2. everyone here cries he should leave (either childish reaction - those who are complaining are not worthy enough being part of our group or what?) OR because he never fitted our play style - Yes, I think he brought something that we do not have!!! fighting spirit - in that respect he did not fit
3. if he isnt good enough for our game - why is playing that much ? seems like we dont have better options! C. Alena? not sure...

Not the first time he complained so if he doesn't want to stay let him go, keeping players that want to leave usually doesn't make much sense. But since it's Inter Mailand make sure to get a decent deal, Vidal is 32 but still a useful player so none of that loan bullshit this time.

About the bonus thing, well it doesn't make much sense to speculate about that. Lawyers handle that stuff and they know the contracts so we'll see. Vidal commenting on it is obviously to put pressure on the club though.

Inter never promised to buy Rafinha. And it's not like we haven't asked players to put pressure on clubs before. Inter are probably willing to pay him more or offer longer contract.

He would be a better fit for inter at this point. Only downside of him leaving now is that we will be forced to keep Rakitic until the end of the season. We already have Alena away and will be short of options in the midfield. Incredible if you think we started the season with 7 midfielders..

Has nothing to do with Día de los Santos Inocentes, khaled apparently only had a superficial look at the links - it's legitimate

Interesting test of board/club's resolve, we'll see who blinks
