Atlético Madrid

I'm not saying Atletico will be out of contention come the last game of the season, I just think they will drop some points. They are just grinding out victories the last few weeks.

Do you really expect them to win comfortably every game? oh please.....at the end of season tough-grinded wins against ''weak on paper'' teams is what matters

Atletico are a stronger unit than us though. Even if they don't dominate games, they are specialists in grinding out wins by fighting for them.

It's very impressive how they won today. Didn't play Villa, Turan, or Tiago yet still managed a win at San Mames which no other team in the big 3 have. They could be victim to a bad spell due to fatigue (as evidenced by that extremely shitty run after Christmas) but we can't count on that. They've faltered this season, but haven't broken down yet and with the title in sight, they're fully ready to give it all for that last stretch. If there is any team capable of running purely on motivation in the final leg of the season to hit their targets, it's Simeone's Atletico side. I hope they clinch 2nd this year, they really deserve it.

My God they are resilient and never give up.

They might very well figh their way to this title.

Koke is such a good all round midfielder and Costa is a machine.

One thing Simeone has learned since the Christmas break - never again start Diego

That's what I really like about Simeone. He makes changes when he know it's not working. I also like how he make subs at 2nd half. He makes early subs if he thinks that something has to change on their play unlike Tito or Tata who only makes sub at 75th or 80th minute.

Every game, the name "Cholo" gets chanted by fans at Calderon. That goes to show that the fans really value and appreciate him.

Great result for them tonight but I think it will take its toll on their title hopes. Smaller squad.

Barcelona and Villarreal have always been my two teams in Spain, but I think it's in the benefit of Spanish football that they win La Liga. This team will soon break up like BVB is. They deserve something big to show for after all they've given over the past three seasons.

Let's see how they get on against Villarreal on Saturday.

A potential banana skin, Costa has to be out aswel.

This team's work rate is to be applauded and admired. They seem to never get tired. Hope it will not have a boomerang effect on them and ruin their hopes for La Liga or to go through in CHL. As Dinho says, it is in La Liga's best intention for them to win it and they need something 'big' as a pay off for their tremendous work, especially this season.

The advantage is all for them, I don't expect us to score in Calderon to be honest. I hope we do, but it's going to be very tough.

Arda should've been sent off with the kicks to Iniesta and Messi, but this ref didn't feel like giving 2nd yellows... :(

I think it could have boomerang effect on both teams, because Atletico wasted as much energy on defending as Barca on pressing and attacking.

Difference is Barca have a much bigger squad and have been rotating throughout the season.
