Messi is here for more than a decade and yet we won the treble "only" twice.
Benedito is speaking rubbish but he is desperate to get his name up

Is he far wrong at the end of the day its the players on the pitch doing the job

He is far wrong, not for giving credit to the player but for completely discrediting the hard work done by the rest of the club.

The majority may not like him, but it was Barto and the board that bought in the likes of Suarez, Neymar, Rakitic etc. that elevated our team to a treble winning side. Also it's incredibly stupid to publicly come out and discredit not only Lucho's hard work, but the great work done by the rest of coaching staff, medical team and so forth.

He really has some audacity to come forth and publicly cut ties with a treble winning coach and his management staff before the election even takes place.

If that's true, then why didn't Tata win the treble last year?

Nonsense. Without Lucho and Unzue, we'd still be playing a false 9 with Piqué blowing kisses at Shakira all game and letting in five goals a game.

Laporta ftw please. No one else can run this club respectfully. To be completely honest, with these elections sporting results should matter little. It is financial outlooks and club management that matters and our recent success doesn't change the fact that Rosell and company bent our clubs ethics over and completely fucked it in the ass to get paid in oil money.

Treble or no treble, that's unforgivable to me and it's not just the Qatar sponsorship fiasco, there is a liteany of other examples. Neymar's transfer was deplorable ethically and when it says mes que un club in our fucking stands for Christ sake, we can't have the man running our club sanctioning the purchase of multiple prostitues so a prospect's father can have an orgy.

Our recent success and any potential players we get or are in negotiations with shouldn't blind cules to the fact that this board almost drove this club into the ground, sending our crown jewel to Chelsea lol.

Barto and any resemblance of Rosell's regime must be expunged from this club immediately before they can send us down again. It was getting hard to watch for a while.

It's what 2-3 weeks until elections and candidates don't even have a program. So amateurish. There's more competition, and serious to that, for maintainence jobs.
So disappointed with washed up recycled candidates offering populism.
Best club in the world deserves way better than this.

Private ran clubs are ran more seriously and I am beginning to wonder if this politics and amateurism is holding the club back. God knows what will happen when Messi retires.

Well it comes back to the voters. If they vote for it then candidates will carry on. They are doing what they know will get them votes.

Which doesn't absolve them at all from their stupidity and lack of respect towards Barca as a club.

...which is playing into bartomeu's cards. calling out for the early election was easily the smartest decision he could've met back in january

in hindsight. Barto took this decision under pressure, it wasn't a calculated move.

Of course he took it under pressure. And of course no one could've seen the treble incoming.

But by calling the early elections he essentially cut the preparation time for other contenders in half. Gathering the right people, the finances and creating a good election program takes time.

This is not meant as an excuse for the poor showing of Laporta and (to a lesser extent) Benedito so far. But Barto had much more to lose if he decided to drag the saga out into 2016.

edit:
Why everybody so happy about new elections? This is by far the best thing that Barto could do to keep his seat.

If the elections are held by the end of the season, every challenger would only have like 2 months for the (behind-the-scenes) negotiations for their crew. Then there are only like 2 months left to build a electoral campaign from scratch. It takes a lot longer than that to really convince the majority of local members, especially without the Godo Group support
