I think it's more about Messi knowing what to do with Deulofeu than Deulofeu knowing to do with Messi.
I'm usually very pessimistic, but things look much improved. Yes it is just a friendly against a shit team, but there are a lot of goods signs.
What I've noticed:
-Midfield closer together
-Much better off ball movement
-Wingers wide on the break, tuck in when trying penetrate the opposition's box
-Quick, fluid passing
-Drawing defenders with triangle passing then playing ball over the top into space
Very good signs, but it is still early, let's see if we can build on this.
The don is looking good. If valverde wants to play possession footballer we are better off with iniesta than coutinho. Coutinho would be a better fit for luchos system.

I love Deu and am over the moon seeing him drop his selfishness in favor of linking up with the team, but I've gotta say, you're really jumping the gun here.
What does that even mean?
When Deu picks Messi out for a pass it's because Messi is good?
Deulofeu is a smart man.
Tricking everyone to think he's a team man until the end of the transfer window, and then he'll unleash the beast within him that tries to score from corners
He s gonna be a decent sub for Dembele I believe. He's got more experience now thanks to playing away on loan. I like this dudedeulofeu was so determined and i liked connection with messi, looks like messi gives a new chance to the kid, he looks more humble, i like him. i want to see paco in second half (-suarez)
