I have a feeling Barto will try to lure Thiago back and after that fails, he'll go after Coutinho. I read MD article that said "if Thiago would force his way out of Bayern, there would always be place for him in Barca". And it's easy to contact him, you know, we can ask Rafihna to talk to him

Like Gomes was at Valencia?
I think the last thing we need is a box to box midfielder. We need a deep playing midfielder who can control the game and make those risky passes forward.. Xavi/Verratti/Modric type.

Does that not make Busi redundant?
Also Gomes is not a powerful box to box, he's slow and shows very little movement. I think we need a lot more energy in our midfield.

Not particularly. Xavi always started pretty deep. And we currently can't get the ball out of the defence into midfield, we just pass it sideways...
If you watch Gomes playing for Valencia he was box to box, I just don't feel a box to box midfielder works.. teams either park the bus or press us high.
Everyones making changes to the midfield, but leaving the real problem in the midfield which is Busquets.
He needs competition or an alternative/back up.
For seasons no 2 or 3 he has been the weakest link in the team.
Hardly jumps, hardly covers the defense, can't remember a key interception or block, loses the ball in key duels, too skinny to be combative.
Lets get Nzonzi or Matic as a back up, that DM role is a very sensitive roll, we need someone tall strong, fast and good on an off the ball.
The two I mentioned will fit in just fine.

What?? This season Busquets has been the worst of his career, but please focus only on that - last season and 14/15 he was great, and there he actually played some of the best he has ever done?!
Busquets is key to all the success in recent years, so please don't wish us a combative, physical DM, that would ruin the Barca-system!
A new DM is NOT a priority, because we have Roberto, and maybe Rakitic who can cover. For the future everyone (except Enrique) still hopes for a Samper-breakthrough. He has been one of the biggest talents of La Masia in years, and therefore we should not give up on him: He suits the profile more than perfect, and if he is brought back he could enable us to rest Busi more.

Samper is. And both Rakitic and Roberto have played well as dm for Barça. A Barça dm is not exactly like epl's dms. I also don't know what you were on about Busi, he surely wasn't or is our weakest link.

Not going to say Rakitic and Roberto haven't played well in that position in the past, but we need a natural! I am tired of this utility player BS we are getting to fond of.
As for Samper I am sorry I am not sold on him.
However, I do believe the role of the DM putting our style of play into consideration has evolved beyond being a good passer and coordinator. As evident in other teams a hard worker is sometimes needed, there is no one size fits all approach to anything in life! Doing that simply implies mediocrity.
