Barca Transfers and Rumors

Dembele just signed for Dortmund.

We could probably get Silva, pay Griezmann clause or test the waters for Dybala with player exchange + cash.

In meantime let's see what Rafinha does playing regularly and as RF.

players can move after one year at a club

Silva is left footed, Meh

We need a right footer for the RW

Someone who can overlap and send good crosses since we got no RB in the new system

It becomes a problem when everybody is cutting in
Messi comes from the right cuts inside, Bernado the same, Neymar the same on the other side, we become too predictable and narrow

Ideally our RW should be able to use both feet well

Why would you want a right-footer for the RW? It simply makes no sense? With that much space, a left-footer would get a lot of space to cut in so he can deliver a pass for a goalscoring chance or go for goal himself.

A right-footer would cross the ball in. One-dimensional.

And who told you a left-footer cannot do the same? Haven't you seen Neymar take it wide and deliver the ball in with his left-foot on the other side?

And who told you a left-footer cannot deliver a great cross in either? Bale does that in Madrid. Rafinha's final ball was lacking, that's it.

The thing is we have a left footer in Messi who loves coming from the right to the center,
A person who can use a right foot will complement him a lot better than a left footer,
Because a left footer will do the same thing, cut inside,
Leaving a gap on the wing that no one can utilize (ideally a RB would have utilized it but we don't have one anymore)

That's why i said ideally the player should be able to use both feet well
To be able to cross it if played on the overlap
Or cut in if need be

Neymar can use both feet very well, we know that for well
Now we need a player who can use both feet well on the right side,

Gas, you just contradicted yourself bud. First you said we need a right footer for RW, now you say we need somebody good with both feet. You're not wrong the second time around but still

How about Carrasco? He can play both wings right? Not that Atleti will sell with their ban unless we meet buyouts.

Not exactly contradicting :pep:
A player who is a right footer (stronger foot) and can use both feet e.g Neymar, ribery, CR7 :puke:,

Carrasco is good but I am not too sure about his defensive workrate and his cost would be too high

What do you think about getting another left footer?

I don't like it

Messi comes from the right then cuts in, The RW comes from the right cuts to the center, Suarez too is already at the center,

So all three have moved to the crowded center, who takes care of the space left on the right flank? Ideally an attacking RB, to send in a few crosses etc, but we have none

I think ideally the work of the RW would be to decongest the center by bringing opponent defenders wider and wider
You do this by being able to play from the byline and not by cutting in to the center

Carrasco is talented but very frustrating. honestly if we want to spend the money I would at least go for Bernardo Silva over Carrasco tbh.

Pedro would be perfect for that RW role

Can use both feet equally
Shame he left Bojan BerkeleyBernie

I know. But Chelsea are unlikely to let him go now because how well he's playing. That's why I said, not serious.

Yeah, I know.

Btw. You made some valid points about right footed RF and diversity. I did like the width Vidal has shown.

But yes, ideally we'd get a player who plays with both feet.

Too late for that most probably, with both Manchester clubs going for him he might be not worth trying to go for unless he personally forced his way to us like Umtiti

I dont see why we can no longer compete with Manchester clubs when it comes to signing players. It shouldnt be a problem. We are not that poor, but if we are, we would struggle with signing lots of players going forward.

Dembele is on another level than any other potential forward signing. He'll cost an arm and a leg. Same with Kylian Mbappe. These are 100m signings or close to it.

Luckily for us, Dembele wants to come here someday. Maybe he can push the move.
