Barca Transfers and Rumors

Nah, we'll just try to convince Davinson to come by saying Barca B have been promoted now, so he'll play in Segunda, not in Tercera Division. Great pitch by the way, and then we're wondering why players don't choose to come at Barca.

Well, I may have an idea why. Maybe some would think it's disrespectful to tell to a young talent to go to Barca B when he can, for example, play the Europa League final with Ajax. Is he from La Masia? No. So why the hell would he accept to play for Barca B when he can do so much better?

But the Barca board is immune to logic or common sense. They leave in 'La La Land', and I can bet they thought the guy would be happy to play for Barca B. What kind of player is happy to play in the third division, when there are some good sides who are willing to sign him?

We should buy him and park him at Ajax for one more season.

Actually we need 2CB
1 for alternative to Pique. who might be? Maybe Alderweireld from Tottenham
And the other one to Umtiti so Davinson Sanchez might be ideal

Alderweild is one of best CBs in the EPL and starting every week for Spurs. Would cost a fortune and most likely not want to be a back up at Barca.

Same with Davison Sanchez. Why would he want to be a back up player when could probably get a move as a starter at a fairly big club.

Wonder how Bayern manages to get Sule, Madrid manages to sign Vallejo if we cannot even manage to sign a 3rd young and talented CB like Davinson and Lemos.

Impossible for us, but possible for everyone else? Strange.

Not impossible as likes of Umtiti has shown but a lot of players who are sought after and could be a starter elsewhere at big club wont want to be a back up.

Can understand that.

Let's see. They have to make a wholehearted effort at least. If he rejects us again, then move on to someone else. But if he rejects us, only to end up being a 3rd CB at another elite club, then it's a failure on their part.

Shouldn't take a whole lot to sell the Barcelona lure. Especially considering one of the three main CBs is going to leave this summer or next year, and the fact that there's a lot of room to play with a back three, or rotate at the CB position with three great ones.

I don't know :)
We can buy Sanchez cause he is only 20 years old and he don't make problem to be back up player in Barca
But u r right about Alderweireld
We can make Pique and Alderweireld play together
Sometimes we need to make rotation but
I think spurs want min. 50m€ for Alderweireld as u said

Who says you have to tell them they will be back-ups? All is open, you do great in training and you do great on the field when trusted, and you play. Simple as that. There's no prearranged order of who plays and who doesn't, who is back-up and who is starter.

Only we are dumb enough to approach a young talent by telling him that, if he signs for us, he will have the huge honor of playing in the 3rd league in Spain.

I mean, Madrid is skilled enough to keep a player like Isco on back-up role for 4 f...ing years, but nah, we can't sign payers because they don't want to be back-ups. How does Madrid keep an insanely great squad for 2 seasons already, if no player wants to be a back-up then? Maybe they do better at motivating their players to accept an underdog position in the squad and build their way up.

You don't tell them, players and their agents are usually smart enough to know situation. You don't have to tell young forwards that it would be almost impossible to get much playing time behind MSN. You don't have to tell young CBs that it would be very hard for them to break Pique-Umtiti partnership as our starting CB. You didn't need to tell midfielders back in Xaviesta days that they'll have absolutely no chance to start ahead of them.

Yea that's the biggest issue with our transfers, this kinda order to things where we can't bring in anyone who will challenge the starters.

If a player comes in, and he adds more to the system than msn, he plays simple as that.

They will know fine what they are being brought in for initially.

Any young defender will know Pique is a starter and Umtiti has done well.

Where have I said 'cant sign players as back ups'? In the part you quoted I said it is not impossible but many wont come for that scenario.

Some players have more balls and self-confidence. Look at Umtiti or Digne who came in knowing we have Mascherano and Alba. Don't think either of the two have any regrets.
