Barca Transfers and Rumors

Ehh That Parejo rumor originated from a Superdeporte, piece talking about how Valverde was once fond of him when he was at Valencia. at the end of the article it states the idea of Parejo coming to Barca is "Science Fiction"

People freaked out about it on Cule twitter saying Valverde wanted him, but it was just an article talking about how Parejo changed under Valverde.

If the budget allow it, and there's a chance, there could be an argument made for signing Seri AND Coutinho

Iniesta, Rakitic, Seri, Coutinho, Busquets, Roberto

That's what you call depth. Add Aleña there to get call-ups, with the view of taking over Iniesta's place in the squad from next year IF Iniesta truly retires or leaves to play in the MLS.

CM, RB, AM, Possible CB, Deulofeu and/or Munir.

Keep Digne for LB and assess that market again next year. Consider signing Dembele before the WC starts.

Gives us a lot of flexibility.

I think it's unlikely Valverde goes with the 4-2-3-1, as he adapts to the club and resources he has.

Still early of course but in today's market there are more clubs who spend a lot of cash. Season's past we had to deal with Real, Bayern, Manchester United and at a push Chelsea. Now there are teams like PSG, City, Juventus, Atletico, every other mediocre PL team with bs money etc. which can compete with us for signings. The second tier of teams have also pushed forward and are throwing some serious amount of money out there and even if they don't have money for the absolute top players, they seem to have a remarkable scouting department(most of the them) to be able to find the young, cheaper gems. Guys like Dembele, Silva, Pulisic, Naby Keita etc. are snatched on the cheap in the present, while we'll have to compete in the future with oil clubs when they become bonafide stars.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that, while it's still early in the summer and the transfer window hasn't even started, we ought to have the players lined up at this point, contacting agents and negotiating since January at least. The current climate does not wait.

I think we do have targets lined up. It's just we still have to get Valverde's word on if he likes the players Robert has on his list or his own input on the players he wants.

There is a reason that transfer market last until end of August man,if it was that easy the merkato would have been shorter. there is a huge number of transfers that happen last minute. or fail because of being late couple of minutes like De Gea

Yes of course, there's that deadline day in England when every other team throws around 30 million on the minimum but that's not the way we want Barcelona to do the business, now do we?

I'm not going to lose my shit at his point in May obviously, just stating that teams around Europe seem to be a lot more active from the get go these days. Too much patience and messing about could cost us.

Like KingMessi said, we should wait and see what our board and new manager do, but going from past years, they inspire as much confidence as an eunuch trying to conceive.

Still very early but with the things coming out so far I am not confident at all.

I dont think its "early" at all.
Most clubs dont wait until August to make deals with players like we do.
Most top talent and available players are already swooped up, many of them 2-3 months ago.
Well probably chase some player like Bellerin the clubs thinks are a big name but we fans dont really want, as usual.

La Masia havent been our "thing" either. We got one golden generation but before that we bought many players and theres nothing of top notch quality coming through either thats better than all the Jeffrens, Dos Santos etc we already sold.
Maybe Simons but hes to young to say where hell end up, we had high hopes for Lee aswell.

Why is nobody mentioning this guy as one of the RBs we should get. He looks very very good, even better than Semedo, Bellerin, Ivanovic and other RBs out there
