I would just abandon any hope right now and maybe miracle will slap me in the face that this moron Robert actually does something good in the market rather than low key deal like Digne, Andre freaking Gomes

Yes but he started his career as RB. Don't believe he's really our target though, just media connecting us to every Basque player possible.

Also, can't help but laugh at all overreactions in this thread.

Wow I still don't understand why some people on here don't see the problems with Barcelona. They have bad management for years now. They made several bad transfers over the years, if you don't get the players you need from La Masia then you need to buy them, no other solution. Because of those bad transfers over the years, last season wasn't great. Luis Enrique was lucky to have MSN who could solve alot but it couldn't last forever. You can't deny, without Iniesta or Busquets (which had a huge form dip) the midfield was struggling.

Look at the players they bought without success: Song, Bojan, Douglas, Vermaelen, Matthieu, Vidal, Turan, Gomes... And don't forget the big mistake they made with letting Dani Alves leave without having a decent replacement because Vidal was just not good enough. And we all know the biggest mistake the Barcelona management made was letting Thiago leave, he's one of the greatest midfielders in the Bundesliga. It would be a huge difference if Thiago never left. They sold him for only 25M! While Barcelona pays 30M for Gomes, 35M for Turan, Matthieu 20M, Vermaelen 20M... It's just a big joke.

If they don't buy a creative CM to replace Iniesta, and a good RB then the problems will continue next season.

I can't understand this crap regarding RB. We had entire year to chose next RB and to prepare transfer since it was obvious from the beginning of the season we will need to buy RB this summer. Since this is our biggest problem, RB transfer should have been concluded even before market opens (something like City did with Bernardo) and I am afraid they didn't do anything regarding this issue. So they will again lose time on unavailable targets and we will end up with f... Cancelo in the end!!!

it's clear fcb needs to improve and change, mostly in the middle...
not techincally, but for a better defense attitude and more dinamicity...

right now the lineup midfield is raki-busq-iniesta...
(backup: roberto, denis, gomes, rafinha)...

i think will be difficult raki and don andres will play together many matches next season...
probably just against the weak teams, i don't think in the big matches, mostly in champions league, where absolutely we haven't to repeat the disgusting shows of paris and turin (i have still nightmares)...

iniesta stays an unbelievable player without backup in the world, but exactly for this reason certainly is better he plays less matches, so he can be managed in the best way during the season, where it's sure there will be need of him...
but imo it isn't already time to retire!
i'm sure valverde will manage him in the best way for at least next two years.

if rakitic is the same of the last season, we have a problem...
but he's a player of great talent and experience, so i want to believe he will return to play as his usual in the next season...

for RB i don't know...
depends if valverde wants bet on vidal or not...
before his injury he was playing well (after the difficult beginning with luis enrique)...
sure isn't dani alves, but one like the brasilian is very difficult to find.

about the transfer market, imo now is useless debating too much...
we have to wait valverde, but i'm sure fcb management will buy the players we need...
have you doubts about it?

Uhm looking to the past, i think everyone has doubts. Only difference now is that Barcelona had a crap season and hopefully they finally see the need of buying the right players.

I didn't check wages from other teams or taxes in other countries.

But in some media, it says that Messi wants 40M Euros per year. With taxes, that is 80M per year.
Iniesta wants 20M.
That is 40M with taxes.

So, one year of granny Iniesta's wages alone cost the same as the transfer of Bellerin or even Seri.

Again, I didn't check wages and taxes for other teams.
But then it seems that mistakes of buying Arda and Gomes are peanuts compared to how much are we paying in wages for older superstars who usually have the highest wages, like Msn, Iniesta, Busi, Rakitic etc.

To some extent, you need Msn (or you don't, hmm?), but roughly, yearly wages of Msn and Iniesta (after taxes) are almost equal to transfer price of Griezmann, Coutinho and Seri together (200-220M Euros per year).

So, when we discuss about the incompetent board, a lack of money for transfers etc, we should consider Msn's wages also.

Barca never in our history had as expensive attack as Msn.
It is our burden on a field on so many levels already.
Now it seems that having Msn is also a huge burden in terms of having zero money to buy midfielders and other positions.

People say: Msn are playing poor because we don't have midfield.
What if having Msn is a reason why we can't buy a better midfield also?

All the press here in Portugal is saying that Barça has won the race to United for Semedo. Mendes is taking care of the deal. No values were disclosed.

in the last ten years i remember a lot of trophies, total domination in the liga (seven victories in ten season), unbelievable games and an amazing play...

all the world tells of "barca era"...

everything made thanks to a lot of great masia players and many great champions bought on the market...

obviously there have been also not good things, mostly in the last season and last market...
but what top club in europe influenced and dominated more than barca in the last ten years?

Which seem to be the case
Look at Raki comments from Semedo thread (he is from Portugal)

All the press here in Portugal is saying that Barça has won the race to United for Semedo. Mendes is taking care of the deal. No values were disclosed.

All media in Portugal suggest we are after Semedo or even closing the deal. It is Catalan media that is still spitting some shit out there and I think Roberto has been able to keep them in the dark
