Coutinho has been playing as a wide midfielder for Brazil. He's more of a midfielder than a winger imo. Wingers at Liverpool are Salah and Mane. Striker is Firmino. Coutinho plays behind them.

Maybe prime Ozil was a bit better than Coutinho, but as of now, it's not even close.

In a world where people cannot get clean water, food to eat or a job these fees are obscene.

I'd like to see six Home grown players as a mandatory minimum. These players would have been at their respective clubs from the age of 13. 100 million should be the maximum spent by any club that qualifies for CL.

Watched some highights, reminds me a bit of Jerome Boateng. Big guy but still pretty good on the ball. I'm not sold though. His speed (not speed as in how fast he covers 50m., but how quick he reacts to sudden changes of pace and direction) is a concern for me, in the sense that he seems to be compensating his slower reaction time with tackles and risky last ditch ball winning techniques based on his long segments. A bit like how Mathieu did it, but I didn't like Mathieu, so...

There probably won't be any middle ground here though, he'll be either a flop or a hit because people see him as this big South American talent.
