Javi Miguel claims he's seen a document from January that endorses the signing of Pjanic
The main parts from the article that Barca centre posted.
Barcelona are handling an internal report which gives the 'OK' to the signing of Pjanić, despite his age of 30. A part of the report says the following: 'Older players contribute more in positions where more knowledge of the game is required'.
'An experienced player may need less time to adapt to his new club and give his best level from the very first moment', states the same report. For positions that rely more on physical performances, younger players are preferred according to the Club's report. [as]
I feel like if you need Veterans you should target guys from the 26-28 year range like we did with Rakitic when he came in 2014. Experience is great but in the CL in that last few years have shown that if the player doesn't have the body to match up with their experience it's pretty much a wash at that point.
I'm not sure how Pjanic of all players would fare any better in a setup that has to have him cover for two out of the three players in the Front line that don't run or move enough. He would basically be another Busi, a guy who is good on the ball but has the same issues with declining mobility and physicality.
You're basically swapping Rakitic someone who's better the ball while also showing the same problems he has as well and Pjanic was never a workhorse either.
