To be honest I don't like the deal based purely because of Neymar's injuries. I don't doubt his quality but I do doubt him being fit for more than 50-60% of the season based off of his past 3 seasons. And the way Barcelona traditionally setup their squad (and especially now with no budget) you just know that we won't have a credible replacement in the squad. Plus he is getting on now and will effect the boys club mentality in the club.

The way he left was sour, but the bigger problem was how Bartomeu's board squandered his 222m transfer fee.

Initially I thought why buy Neymar now when we can get him in a year, and PSG can get Dembele in a year- both for free. Then if PSG also wanted Griezmann, rather than us paying 60m+Griez+Dembele (the rumour) now we could effectively Neymar for free and then instead sell Griezmann for 30-60m next season.

But then I don't have the data. Maybe in that one season, we would be projected to make more paying to sign Neymar now, than waiting a year and selling Griezmann next year.

Patson Daka will be a shrewd acquisition for someone, shame we aren't really considering a player who can play anywhere in the attacking front line

Leonardo travelled with PSG women’s team for the CL game with Barca today... not sure if that’s something he usually does but apparently could be to talk about Neymar....

we have to make radical changes

----------------------------------terstegen(neto)------------------------------------

transfer1(dest)---------transfer2(mingueza)------transfer3(araujo)--------alba(transfer4)

---------------------------------------transfer5-----------------------------------------

-------------------de jong(transfer6)--------------transfer7(pedri)-----------------------------

messi(trincao)-----------------------------------------------------------transfer8(fati)---

----------------------------------transfer9(transfer10)------------------------------------

we need at least 10 new players

transfer1: it must be Hector Bellerin
transfer2: i think he will be Garcia
transfer3: he might be world class DC, Koulibaly, Konate, Caglar Soyuncu, Laporte,
transfer4: he must be able to play both leftback and leftCB for example free transfer Alaba
transfer5: Boubakary Soumar? is the great option.
transfer6: Georginio Wijnaldum could be a good replacement on free transfer
transfer7: i would write this name to transfer8 but he can play here as well!!! Jadon Sancho(exchange with Coutinho plus some money)
transfer8: Memphis Depay(free transfer), Sancho's main position is here as well
transfer9: Haaland!! if i am not wrong he has release clause 70m? in his contract. we can pay this price
transfer10: Aguero adds variety of attack

maybe we have to increase the trasnfer list. transfer11-CB** transfer12-CB** transfer13-DMC** transfer14-AMC**

and the other players who is not on the squad must be sold

Langlet-Umtiti-Pique-Bousquets-Coutinho-Roberto-Pjanic-Braithwaite-Griezmann-Dembele(maybe),

we can have good income from these player to finance for transfers

I'm just saying your plan would be highly unrealistic even in normal circumstances let alone in our current financial situation.

Changing half of the team in one summer also rarely works even if you bring the right players which is also far from a given as we usually only hit on 20-30% of the transfers so possibly only 2-3 of those new players would actually turn out quality contributors to the team longterm even if on paper all look like an improvement over what we have now. Team chemistry is an often overlooked factor in team building. Players need time to gel together and it's much easier to replace 1-2 starters each summer then trying to replace 5-6 of them at once.

And no, I don't want to see Busi and Pique as starters next season but replacing them won't be as easy as people think.

Fascinating wanting every old player out presumably because having tired of them, but still not knowing how to spell their names...

Nice seeing a 4-3-3 at least

Nothing official yet, there are still other clubs interested in him (Barca not being one of them) but yeah, he'll probably go there in the end. I wonder if L'pool not qualifying for the CL (which is very likely) will make him change his mind though.

Not sure if it would. Likely better wage, better team, more stars in league, atmosphere more like Germany, probably knows some English and no need to learn 3rd or 4th language. But yh who knows.

if we sell Langlet Umtiti, Pjanic, Coutinho, Bousquets or if we use in exchange with players we can afford to buy these names

Wow, don't know where to start. 4-3-3 with Messi RW and Bellerin RB? Bellerin can't even get minutes at Arsenal lol.

We won't get much if anything for these players due to their age, high wages and/or them underperforming for years.
