7M for 6 years, less than 1.17M per year amortization and we don't have to register him. Could just loan him to Almeria (an Emerson type of deal).
Honestly make too much sense to match. I also guess we won't but we will see.

Yeah, I mean I would assume Almeria wouldn't be that interested if they weren't signing him compared to loaning (though we hold good relationship), but for the numbers reported it represents a very good deal. And you would expect we can find a respectable loan elsewhere if need be.

By comparison, we dropped 5m on Marlon plus a loan fee, who had way less pedigree, and also made a profit.

Now I know Laporta is historically atrocious at selling financially, but surely we would not lose money on this deal.

He's apparently travelling to Almeria so don't think we've matched their offer.

Would probably also already be reported somewhere if that would be the case.

Barcelona have serious interest in English talent Carney Chukwuemeka, he’s appreciated as player with huge potential. #FCB

The player is in the final year of his contract with Aston Villa and would be available for FIFA training compensation in January. #AVFC

He's a top talent, would be great if we'd get him but still doubt it will happen.

Chukwuemeka needs game time in mens football before he's ready for Barcelona to be honest. He's played 99% of his minutes in the u23's.

So I can only assume he'd be loaned straight out for minutes.

Can't sign him before next year anyway, don't know what plans Villa has for him though.

Offered him a contract however he doesn't get many first team minutes which is the biggest issue. Problem is we also got Jacob Ramsey and Tim Iroegbunam the same age as him and have looked more prepared for mens football.

Definitely got potential in him but reminds me of a Pogba where he can do the outrageous one minute and then seem incapable of executing the basics the next.

Well if he'd join us then he'd have even more competition in young midfielders already at the club. Would also need to adapt to a new league/country. Really liked what I saw from him at U19 Euro last month but you're right, he's still far from a finished product and needs to play regular to develop. I believe he has great potential though.

But again, I seriously doubt he'd ever seriously consider Barca. If he'll leave Villa permanently will probably be for another EPL/maybe Championship club or possibly a team like Dortmund could convince him as they have good previous experience "stealing" English talents like Sancho and Bellingham and they can guarantee him minutes he needs.

Apparently they notified us and waiting for our reply

How long we have to respond? We're probably too busy with likes or Raphinha and Lewa now.

Don't expect it to happen but for 7m it's kind of a no brainer for me even if we sign Kounde (and even more so if we sign an older CB like Koulibaly). Send him on loan for a year or better two then can come back to potentially replace Garcia as a 4th CB or maybe even Christensen (depending on how he'll do) as a first backup to Araujo and Kounde. Can't even forget that in 2-3 years we'll probably have to negotiate Araujo's contract again so would be good to have some potential replacements already "in house" in case we can't reach agreement and would need to sell him.

Don't know, signing Kaiky and see how he'll develop just makes too much sense to me. That's why we surely won't do it. We usually don't do logic things.

Mateu Alemany is currently meeting with player agent Arturo Canales, who represents players like Puig, Umtiti, Pique and Pablo Torre. [@gerardromero]

Hopefully at least can find a club for Mavericky. I've lost my hopes with Umtiti and Pique is obviously staying as well.

Not much to talk about Torre at this point I'd guess as it's clear he'll do a preseason with the team and then Xavi will decide.
