How? Massively shit point, but then again you ridiculed people for saying Madrid will win the CL final. How does that feel by the way?

I never ridiculed anyone for saying Madrid will win the CL. Here you are back again with your fake bollox. Happens when you lack an actual point to make
Don't deflect.

Back to the real point, Serie A has the opportunity to have a potential big 6 like the PL : Juve, ACM, IM, Napoli, Roma, Lazio. You have the team which excels in domestic level but underperforms in Europe- Juve and Man U. You have the European royalty- ACM and LFC. You have two clubs of a similar current level in the Capital City- Roma and Lazio just like Spurs and Arsenal.

Outside the top 6, you have the sort of hipster clubs pushing the envelope like Atalanta, Fiorentina, Sassuolo just like the PL has Leicester, West Ham, Everton and the likes. If marketed properly and invested well Serie A has tremendous potential as a league. Tremendous.

You already have clubs like Milan and Roma reviving themselves and rebuilding. Palermo can turn out to be a Man City if the Sheikh decides to throw in his cash.
Add to that, the rich history of the 90's Italia and other periods of Italian Football supremacy which strums chords of Nostalgia instantly.

In La Liga, you'll never have that as the gulf between the big 2 and the rest is too massive and the league will always bend over for Barca and Real.

Ofcourse, this is just a theory and needs a lot of improvements at the infrastructure level. The current state of the league is abysmal.

Remember when I said Liverpool lack midfield culture and you berated me? I think that's precisely what sunk them in the CL final. Lots of dominance, no decisive quality in possession.

Anyway, your point about Serie A is lots of wishful thinking and big ifs.

Well we didn't really lose the game in the midfield, did we? We dominated that area and created more than them.

We lost because of Courtois and Real defended excellently as a unit.

So don't see how that midfield point was wrong.

When the "better" team has most of the ball they should win in a final. No way Pep's Barca would have let that slip, or the rest of the genuinely great teams of the last decade or two. Liverpool on the other hand, eh.

CL finals are 99.9% won by the favorites.

Like I said before, we weren't necessarily the better team. Only if you look at Football Pep's way or the "Barca DNA" way, we were better.

They executed their game plan to perfection. That is what Real went out to do and they pulled that off.

In the final, our midfield was more definitely "cultured"(that doesn't mean shit though) and created ample amount of high quality chances especially for a CL final. Courtois came in clutch having the game of his life which is the only reason for their victory.

Potential big 6 while the only clubs that are "big" are juve and milan clubs, and they are level below madrid clubs and barca. Napoli, lazio, roma are in the same mould of sevilla, villareal, valencia, and hipsterclubs in bilbao, betis, celta vigo.
Every league except bayern league and psg league have good balance of first, second and other tiers.
A lot of people follow epl because of all the shitshowing besides football. Their studios are more advanced, they are doing the good job with inviting ex players as hosts, they took the pre-match and after match things to the next level. And yes, the language helps a lot too, because its easier to quote and understand what some of the host meant in analysis, and its closer to the world wide population. These are things with which epl has a massive advantage in reaching new audiences.

I was gonna give the same breakdown of clubs re likes of lazio vs Sevilla and such, but couldn't be bothered, glad someone else did.

Thanks.

Tempt is just talking crazy this today, like a true fan boy.

What makes a fan boy a fan boy is that they can never see the fan boy in themselves.

If Valencia was ran by a fool
If Bilbao open their selfves up to investments & change their basque only policy
If sevilla get a big money buyer

That's a big 6 to rival anything in Europe.

IF.

Madrid clubs??? Athletico will never be as big as INTER, AC or Juve. They're tiny in comparison.

Barca and Real are way above every other LL clubs and the gulf is way too wide.

I'm neither a Serie A fanboy nor a La Liga fanboy. Bundesliga has far more entertaining games to watch thsn both currently.

And the PL is completely at a different level. PL has 6 clubs with massive global fanbases. Valencia and Sevilla aren't nearly as popular or supported as Chelsea and Arsenal.

Atletico have a much bigger social reach than Inter. So I'm not sure how we are talking bigger. As historic names or bigger currently? Inter may be bigger to the 30+ aged fans who can think back to the times of Ronaldo or Vieri but for the modern fans, probably Atletico.

Reason why? in the past two decades the biggers clubs are either EPL or Real/Barca. Atletico has consistently matched up and beaten these teams- Inter and AC haven't been relevant. And the marketability shown through the social media reaches supports this.

Same with AC.

Chelsea & city has no more fans world wide than Valencia & Sevilla do now before they got their investments.

You are talking about hypotheticals and in that world should those teams get similar investments they would take of just the same.

Madrid? Sure.

Bayern are arguably bigger than Barca. Liverpool are very close too. There's no gulf at all between Barca and these clubs. Recency bias coz Barca had their golden period recently.
Same logic as yours, i can use that out of big 6 in epl only stands two, liverpool and manu as big clubs. So, there you go.
