I'm seeing Marcus Thuram linked with Bayern and Man United for under 20M since his contract is up in the summer

No idea why we're not in for him in our current state of the frontline

We're actually chasing Lilian Thuram for right back.

Andrey Santos, 18-year-old Vasco da Gama midfielder, signed for Chelsea, who will pay 12.5 million euros plus 7.5 in variables

Another Enzo Fernandez coming up?

Fee much lower than I expected it to be (talks of 35m after his renewal).

He is 18 years old who plays in 2nd division in Brazil.
Chelsea will have to loan him for few years and see how he develops, one of their (along City) typical signings.
Don't see comparison with Enzo who was 21 when he moved to Europe and was ready to contribute at highest level from day 1

Chelsea, who just appointed new Sporting Director, is interested in Zubimendi.
Basically taking us out of the race.

That was the good new.

Bad news is that Kante and Neves are the alternatives.

They have spent 120m+ on wingers hat dont even suit the way Xavi plays.

Spent more big money on a 34 year old striker and another 60m odd on a CB to play RB.

Of he 200m+ spent a lot more could have been done with it to this point.

Also giving likes of Fati 200K a week for 6 years when hasnt even proved fitness for any length of time.

Mortgaged the future of club for that?

The players that have Barca in with a chance other than Lewa who is short term were largely there before this 200m was spent.

Honestly they would have been better rebuilding and taking time. In La Liga can do that and still finish top 2.

Yea yea blah blah, no about of changing the narrative will change the fact that we are broke, they spent 120m on 5 players, that's less than bartomeau the destroy of worlds spent on 1.

Lewa success
Kounde success
Christiansen success
Raphinha, new player new league it's been 5 months.
Kessi free

Torres unmitigated disaster.

Great transfers window all things considered.

Now Torres is crap & a bad buy after being told, "isn't as bad as some made out, insert irreverent stas here"

Decent transfers but cant complain about being broke when spend 200m+ and the whole reason was to get past the league rules to be competitive.

Spending 120m on players that dont suit way Xavi plays is not great to then complain dont have money to improve squad when argued needed that money.

It was easy way out to push the issue further down line for others to deal with.

Likes of Kounde is good.. but 60m on a CB to play RB.. nah can be better spent than that.

The best players bar Lewa were there before anyway.

200m euros is absolutely nothing in today's world, freaking wolves just spent 50 on a Atletico bench warmer, Madrid 75 all in on a 16 year old.

Selling the clubs soul for a little cash, after bartomeau the destroyer of worlds, tells you how broke the club is.

Cardioman 120
Dembele 140
Coutinho 175
De jong 85.

520,000,000 to win 1 copa del champion league.

When we weren't broke, that's how we spent our money.

Haha so now the excuse was '200m is not enough' when whole argument for spending it in first place is would make Barca competitive in league and CL now...

The fact you keep deflecting back to past says it all.

No one is arguing club made great transfers in past all the time or that the financial problems were fault of current board.

FDJ for 85m good transfer though... for others you can stop making up figures... 'Coutinho 175m'.

Pedri and Araujo great transfers and then having Gavi, Balde etc and more coming through all helps but regardless the point is arguing Barca need the levers to make team competiive in league and CL to now 'it isnt enough' is a nonsense.

Ferran Torres is so far the only true miss by the sporting department tbh.
Kounde looked really good with us, Raphinha is a hit and miss but he seems like a goid long term option considering Dembele is unlikely to last long. Would have preferred different type though.

OTOH only Kounde and Aubameyang are the true success, Lewandowski too at least on the pitch but that was known and his success will be judged on trophies
Overall there is a progress over past board, but what we need is not just progress but excellence.

Xavi will most likely be the one who decides the success of current board, and so far it is underwhelming.
