I have seen this movie before.

They will sign Bernardo Silva for 50-60m and then Dani Olmo on Xavi’s request for LW for 60m and then say no money left for a top CDM or that the top CDMs were too greedy.

Signing both Bernardo and Olmo is highly unrealistic. Wouldn't be the worst that could happen though.

In realistic terms, I'd be glad with just a good, not top DM + Bernardo on decent numbers if no big sale happens. The big signings are going to happen once the FFP is no longer an issue.

If we sell De Jong (gonna be difficult to offload a guy on top money that doesn't want to move), then a top DM can be signed also this summer and probably even a top fullback.

To be fair I would rather sign Olmo than Silva. For sure Silva is a better player overall. However, he is almost 30 and his salary would be huge. Olmo on the other hand would probably be a cheaper solution. Additionally, Olmo would be much hungrier for wining trophies than Bernardo who won it all. I am definitely not a fan of 30y old player signings regardless of their quality.

With that being said this team probably needs a player like Nico Williams much more than Bernardo or Olmo.

correct!!..... all these talks about midfielders is secondary. Barca is missing a lot on the left flank. I felt the biggest gap is in the left sided attacker(not Flex or Cancelllo).You need someone good to stretch the left side of the attack and many other things can fall into place.

Nico Williams.

Positive thing about him compared to some of the other options mentioned for the position is that he's not dependent on getting the ball at his feet. Good at making runs in behind.

You sound like a big Nico fan. How good is his end product? Good enough for a club like Barca?

His stats look decent enough, but I can’t bring myself to really rate him. His technique just doesn’t look sharp, but I do believe he can still improve there.

But signing an actual LW for the left wing sounds marvelous. Something we don’t usually do :S

I think he can be a player with same impact of someone like Diaz from your side. Frustrating but tough to call him bad starter, not the best finisher. Different players, in addition to having different roles, but Nico of he hits his potential can be of that level.

I hope we don't go for Bernardo Silva. Good player don't get me wrong but his age, going for his last fat contract, won it all is not what we need at this point.. + City would demand a big fee (probably 50mil)
