Looks like both Philogene and Onana are signing for Villa. If they sign Nico but keep Romeu and don't sign a DM again I'll be at a loss for words.

If I had to bet they probably try to sign Mikel Merino.

Merino is a good player, but I’m not sure he’s the right player for us.

As for Onana then I don’t know much about his level apart from a couple of EURO games.

I thought maybe he was good but maybe just a pacy, tricky winger with a good shot. Tonight he showed great ability in tight spaces, maturity, an ability to play passes round the corner and little one-twos in and around the box. He was also very diligent defensively.

Never ever sign a player based on one tournament or worse one game, but I was impressed tonight.
