In this case they would have to agree to sell and WJ is already unsettled in Sociedad (he wanted to leave for Tottenham in January but they didn't offer enough) so we can't really cause too much harm to them. Also, IF we would activate his buy out clause (which we won't) then Sociedad would also have a chance to sign a replacement outside of a transfer window.

Anyway, I believe both WJ and Loren are too expensive so we'll get Angel or Perez in the end.

I would definitely try to sign Upamecano, Camavinga and a RB like Dest/Atal though. I think Lautaro and Fabian Ruiz might be locked by the management already which is why I included them.

I disagree we absolutely need a LW. At least not a big money/starter signing.

I like both Lautaro and Fabian but hopefully we're keeping our options open. I prefer to use 110m (or a bit more) on Isak+ a midfielder like Aouar or Soumare than get another 100m+ forward signing.

Hope so Schalke will not buy Todibo bacause there is not any good young centrebacks at the moment.

There are a lot of good young CBs, especially in Ligue 1 and BL, we just need to find them. Some of them (like Kouassi from PSG) are even available on a free transfer (though he apparently already has signed a pre-contract with RBL). I've also seen yesterday that Malang Sarr's contract with Nice is also expiring. We were interested in him a few years ago, don't know what happened with him since then but he's still only 21.

And then besides obvious more expensive targets like Upamecano and Konate there is also a kid named Boubacar Kamara at OM. He's versatile and can also play as a DM so we should definitely follow him as well.

Even if we lose Todibo there is no excuse for Abidal to not bring at least one of the talented young CBs. Personally I'd even get two. One more expensive like Upamecano who can become a starter immediately and another cheaper one to possibly send him on loan to further develop for a year or two and then bring him back once Pique retires (or if we decide to sell Lenglet) so we'd have open spot in a CB rotation.

We also have some interesting talents in Barça B/Juvenil A but their celling is probably a 4th CB at best or more likely they will be sold for a small profit and replaced by other similar talents with a hope we'll once strike a gold. La Masia is pretty bad at producing CBs lately (the same for strikers) so getting talents from the outside to Juvenil teams or Barça B makes sense.

Sell: Coutinho €50m, Rakitic €15m, Umtiti €20m Total €85m

Buy: Upamecano €60m, Willian on free 2 year contract (not mad wages), Luis Alberto €45m who is an actual number 8. A striker NOT Lautaro for €100m. We should buy some backup striker who can fill a role of getting 10 goals in the league and maybe 3 - 5 in all cup competitions. Leaves us with some cash left over. Bank that money and save for Lautaro the next summer, if he keeps up his form buy him, if not then don't.
