One signing who was willing to come to us, didnt even entertain any other offer. We are so good at this.
Another sinigng was for 2m, new guy with nothing to show for. Hence would come to us in a heartbeat. We are so good at this.
Cancelo went to Saudi, you know when our squad at the back is thin and the guy was already loaned to us. But hey guy had a shit last month of the season, so its all justified. We are so good at this.
Gundo left for free, we couldnt even get a swap deal for cancelo, and now the guy replacing Gundo might be making the same amount of money as him. We are so good at this.
No cheap loans, No DMs. No negotiations were made with current players with high salaries, like Ferran or Fdj. We are so good at this.
Just because we were stupid enough to pay 50M for a 34 year old Lewa doesn't mean other clubs "buy" players over 30 - they usually go on a free but wages are higher. Gundo came for free and actually did us a favor leaving us when he had 1 year left on his contract on a very high wage, for us being able to buy and register Olmo was more important - Olmo is 26 and is on lower wage, he'll be our main AM for at least 4-5 seasons and we can build our team around him. So there's that, if we would start to ask for cash for Gundo we would be stuck with him.
I don't remember how much Cancelo went for, but he probably is on VERY high wage in SA - and our ffp is maxed the fuck out, so forget about Cancelo.
FdJ is probably on about 15-20M (not more), which isn't THAT high really - he was and is one of our top players, but sure it hurts also paying the deferred wage on top of his 'normal' salary. We don't know what the club offered in the new contract and all the in-and-outs, but I sure as hell would not take a huge pay-cut and neither should he.
Ferran? Forget about Ferran, he is one of the worst transfers in Barca history (him and Roque lol). Nobody want's him and he won't negotiate for shit since his contract is until June 30 2027... We're stuck with him, just as we are with Fati. We can't even sell his ass for around 15M even if somebody would pay (lol) that since it would be a "minus" on the books and ffp etc. Maybe next season, if we get an offer of 15-20M, we could sell and be + - 0... but who the fuck would make an offer like that hahah!? Also, he seems to be slow in the head and have this grandios thought about him being a great footballer and shit - that and the fact that he probably wouldn't even leave if the offer came.
Ansu though, if he keeps being injured also this season and plays meh - I have a feeling he could take a small pay-cut next season. He wouldn't even start for Brighton when they had all their forwards injured etc.
There is no sense taking in somebody on loan now, it's not that easy. 1 ffp. 2 You really think players that could even be backups for us are free and without contract etc? Of course not, and Bernal's injury came the other day and was a fucking freak injury - so god damn unlucky and sad. We're better of using Masia players who know the club and system etc until Gavi and FdJ are back. 3. Do we really fill up our squad with more scrubs? No thanks, we have enough of that already...
We have an alright squad but we are enormously unlucky with injuries - it's wild actually how unlucky we are. Forget about a pure DM since we don't even play that system under Flick - we play double pivot now. Sure we could need a better LW,/RW backup - but we have options, we can play Fermin there, Olmo can play a little wide and we play Pedri as AM, we have Fati and he might surprise us since its do or die for him now, we also have Victor. I'm worried about RB and LB though, Kounde is meh RB and I never thought Balde is good enough for us - wingbacks and LW/RW cover is main issue + new 9 next season. But Fatporta and Deco need to start working on everything behind the scenes now and not wait until the last moment.
