Barca Transfers and Rumors

ETH is logical and methodical. There is no Ajax reunion without FDJ. His work is not complete, so he has to make United go all in here.

So, turning into BVB is your solution?
Barca has enough young players of their own, we can't keep getting young players to compete with young players.
And this is very inconsistent with your "loyalty" argument. You want us to poach young players, and expect them to have them any loyalty? Young players mostly follow money, or clear oath to playing time. Neither of those we have abundance of

And God, please no with this Segunda thing.
Almost every club has their prospects suffered massively when they played in Segunda.
Barca B were joke in development players when it happens, by far the worst era in La Masia in past 35+ years.
Not at all, their youth work is pretty poor right now. The problem is the Barca B team barely has any players right now. It doesn't speak against the loyalty argument, if they break through here they will be grateful for that even if they get sold. Since the team is very young and there are many injuries theres def chances at minutes, no one expected Casado to come in.
And you can't judge from that time being bad, it had not much to do with Segunda division but more with Bartomeu not caring about youth development properly.

Ferran and Roque were clearly never a fit for Barca, both were signed because of the brazilian and pep city bonus. Bad example right there.
I'm not even talking about the first team here, with such a young team you have to think long term.

Flops like Torres and Roque are not a rarity when signing young unproven players like some think. It is a constant risk that atm we cannot deal with.

We shouldn't try to bring guys like Kimmich and Davies who only want a big salary and are nothing special. It's ok to break wage structure for someone like Haaland but not for average players like them. We already have younger Catalan version of them actually, very similar players to Casado and Balde.

It has nothing to do with Bartomeu.

We got promoted under Laporta, and it isn't just us, it is almost every club that has done it. Bilbao, Villarreal, Madrid, Sociedad etc.
There is nothing to support this idea of Segunda being better development, except the opinion and theoretical believe that better level of league = better development.

If you want to develop a player in Segunda, you loan him there.

You keep saying everyone is wrong, but then you present an even far more ridiculous solutions.

I agree for Kimmich, we simply don't need him so much and he's not worth the salary he would probably demand rn. He's also slowly becoming washed as fuck.

But Davies is different thing. He would probably demand a big salary but we should first approach him and see. If we can bring him in with "reasonable" wages, then he'd be a good signing.

Balde and Davies are 2 very similar players indeed, but exactly that could be the reason to bring Davies in. Balde is no stranger to injury and this way if it happens we basically won't feel it. We can rotate them 2 all the time. Would be a dream for that LB spot.

Signing Davies sill mean relegating Balde to bench role, no way around it.
That isn't a bad thing, but cost wise it isn't the best way to spend our resources.

Ok I actually agree. Davies on a normal salary wouldn't be the worst thing in the world and he could again explode in a different club and Flick knows him but only on a normal salary. Reports are that he demands a huge wage so it's not probable.

Kimmich is a different situation, don't want him in any case.

I'd keep trusting Balde and sign a more defensive fullback on lower wages that can cover both flanks as a squad player. If we're selling De Jong, I'd rather get Zubimendi from Sociedad, than someone like Kimmich.

I can't wait until I see Zubimendi on a big club tbh. He is a tough player to judge, and will be good to know his true level.
