Its gotten worse year by year. We gotta get taller defenders that are good in air. Yes there are some shorter defenders like Puyol that do decently, but hes a freak of nature.

A tall defender will always have an advantage in air.

So wrong. Get your facts straight please. Just because some people go wild on the chat everytime we get a corner against us doesn't mean it actually results in a goal. We have one of the lowest percentages in scoring from set pieces, but one of the highest in defending them. You probably mixed the two up.

Our defense isn't as bad as some make it out to be but remember that for the first half of the season Valdez was arguably the best keeper in the world. He made up for a lot of our defenders mistakes

Really hope zubi has some aces up his sleeve because as depth goes RM/Bayern/CHelsea are currently buying up all the talent. I know we're not a club that always splashes the cash like crazy but lets hope we at least see integration and nurturing of younger players.

At this point we don't need depth, we need starters(especially in defense). And I'm not too impressed with Bayern until now. They still fail to recognize that they need a good CB.

You're definitely right when you say the "we can't defend corners or freekicks" reactions simply aren't true and I'm 100% sure we had a better record than Real Madrid. I think we had the second best rate of all La Liga clubs or all the "top" clubs in Europe, something like that, but that stat I can't remember for sure. It was something like that at least.

That may have been true until last season..I will search for the stats, but I remember that only in January we conceded 6 goals from set-pieces. Not only that, but we also don't score many goals from set-pieces anymore(unlike Atletico or Real Madrid). And we all saw in CL or the World Cup how important it is to be capable to do that.

EDIT: Aparently in 2012-2013 Barcelona conceded 12 set piece and corner goals in the CL and La Liga.
